Built/shipping:
I – vehicle is built; quality control and final inspection pending
J – vehicle has passed final inspection, but has not been released to carrier
JB – shipped to body vendor (typically for decals or stripes)
JS – shipped to storage (to await shipping; also for extended quality control, vehicle flash updates etc.)
KZ – released by plant and invoiced
KZLD - in transit, delayed (not reported by MOTS)

Thanks! Is it normal to have so many on hold from the same day? For example there was like 4 back to back same day. What is an example of what would cause this?

I don't understand why an order stays in I for that long. @JlEngineline @W1ck3d can you educate us on why this happens?
I'm in I since 11/1 as well. When it starts to bother me, I read the Tech section of this forum - Issues, Repairs etc- and I think maybe there is a reason its in this status for this long. Maybe FCA is really inspecting and correcting but then I look back at posts from early 2018 and see lots stuck in I then also. One can only hope that those are the vehicles that now steer properly, computers work, front windows defrost, batteries don't discharge ......... One can only hope.

Yes, it will be worth it IF they don’t have major issues! We will see.......

The hold could be anything.... For example we ran out of painted body color hardtops ... So what the supplier did was ship us flat black hardtops to put on those cars as a substitute until they get the painted ones caught back up so we have a ton of hardtop swaps to do... They do this to prevent the line going down so jeep can't charge the supplier. Jeep charges the supplier by the minute if the line is down. The cost of the line being down is like $20,000 a minute

They was also some engineering changes on the 19 wire harnesses they have been having problems with so they will put a ship hold on them and someone goes out and inspects these cars and fixes them if needed

What is the problem with the 2019 wire harnesses? Possibly the new safety tech add ons?

The painted body color wouldn't affect my order since mine has the black top.

If this was the case wouldn't it be an issue with all 19s?

Also there is still 18 units to fix so they are trying to get those out first
So then those of us that aren't the 18 could be waiting a while until those are fixed even if it causes an overly acceptable delay in the other orders?
