I wired a CB to the interior Aux switch yesterday. I hooked it to Aux 3 but i notice that power is delivered to the CB regardless of the button being on or off. I wanted it to work where i push button 3 and the CB gets power. Anyone know what might be going on?

Wrong power cable is hooked up either by you or the factory. Your best bet is to get a test light and see which wires are for what AUX switch.

On another note, why do you want a CB on an AUX switch? Doesn't the CB already have an on/off switch?

@jkelaghan Just to let you know, CB's can be pissy in regard to the 12v power going to them. I'm not 100% sure the 12v coming off the Aux switch will give you 12v that doesn't mess with your CB.

Most guys/gals, I believe, wire straight to the battery for this reason.. ANYWAY, since you have Aux, you will find a straight to battery wire in the passenger foot well , Aux bundle. (not in the engine compartment Aux bundle) That 12v straight to battery wire in the footwell will give you clean 12v.

Thanks for your help!
I just have an all in one Cobra from Cooltech. So this hook up will be fine for my purposes. Getting tired of running the power cord to the cigarette lighter. Hooked up fog lights with the aux switches no problem.
@jkelaghan didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Just a guess, but you probably wired it to the Accessory Ignition wire (orange with pink stripe). It looks very similar to the Aux 3 wire (pink with orange stripe)

I thought the same thing but BOTH wires were active and fed power when no Aux button was on....just confusing

It's odd cause I actually stripped two wires....they were the orange/pink combo's. One should be direct ignition and one is Aux 3. Both gave power with no Aux switch being on....odd
