Hello,

My 2024 JL has the auto high beams. The last month it is dark when I drive to and from work. Before that, many nights it was dark out, as in total sunset. Only one drive has the auto high beams worked. It is enabled in the settings screen, and checked after the update Jeep pushed. Only once did the icon show up on the dash when I turned on the high beams. Anyone else have the Jeep decide it is an option you paid for, but cannot use?

Have them on the non-Wrangler and I quickly found out how to turn that feature off. They were constantly coming on driving through town and on separated highways. Especially for the latter, they would take awhile to realize another vehicle.

Had this annoying feature in my 2024 Civic Si. Turned both the auto high beams and the automatic lane keep assist off the moment I took the Honda out of the dealership. Luckily my 2020 JLUR does not have it by default.

In town, or busy roads the go off and on too much. Driving down the highway at night when you're not in a big city is where they really work well.

Have you pushed the light stalk forward to activate them?

They work great for me. They're much more binary on/off and not as progressive as my wife's Mercedes, but they still work very well.

I enabled mine via JScan and they work fantastically. They immediately spot vehicles and almost never mistake normal lights for car headlights.

I’ve owned a lot of cars with this feature and the performance is so consistent that I’m sure they all use the same module/programming. The progressiveness is just a function of the headlights, some car manufacturers care to implement it and some don’t.

You can't turn them off?
Mines in the stereo and can be turned off.
It's annoying.

Automatic high beams really only work well in rural areas. Urban areas have too much lights and light pollution to work consistently.
If I got any more rural, I would be in the Northwest Territories.

Unless I read incorrectly, the high beams have to be turned on, they do not turn on with regular headlights on on their own. That is what I think.

I am very rural, there is no light pollution where I live.

Yes. That is how I figure they work. One night only. Every other time the dash indicator does not come on.
