Auto Start Bug When Going into Park?

Mine rarely shuts off when pulling in the garage. I think it is the slowish stop and light braking that keeps it from stopping. It definitely turns off at stop lights.

if you don't have a lot of pressure on the peddle, it wont shut off... anywhere. if you push the peddle in enough... its doesn't its auto off. Seatbelt off prior is also a easy work around also (aside from the obvious of turning it off when parking)

Again, it is an easy "fix". Just take your seatbelt off when you pull into garage. I'm sure the risk of an accident is low in your driveway. This is a simple solution. ESS is a great feature, in my opinion. I would never turn it off, unless I was off roading, and that's the only time I would turn it off. Also, like other people have said, learn your brakes on the Jeep. If you don't depress the pedal to a certain point, it won't shut off. You can come to a complete stop, and not have the engine shut off, if you don't push the pedal hard. Again, a simple fix.

Here's a suggestion to the engineers/programmers.... Since this "problem" really only happens when parking, use the navigation system favorites to create geofence locations that disable ESS when you are in those locations. Problem solved!
