BFG KO2 35 bruh?
There is so much misinformation spread by a few select people on this forum, it can get frustrating at times. There are a lot of people who intentionally do this so they can air down to a lower psi without losing a bead. Still falls within spec for “most” tires.

What he said, ive been running offroad tires on factory wheels for near 40 years. Ive run wheels as wide as 12 and hated them. They are a poor mans beedlock. If you dont run below about 14 psi they are fine. It takes less psi on a narrow wheel to get good wear. It suits a jeep better. I admit im no rock crawler being from Florida. But ive crawled over a many huricane blown tree in the trail with never a broke bead.
Agreed. For offroad purposes, a narrower wheel will hold a bead better. The caveat is that road wear will probably be a bit worse as the edges of the tire are not in contact with the road is much.

True about wear, but i like the fact i can run about 20 psi at times and not chew up outside edges. I spend 30 hours a week offroad , but still put on 800 miles a week. 24 to 28 psi is perfect on a narrow wheel.

Please leave me be as I am currently in a gun free zone, surrounded by puppies, in a safe space all while watching an old episode of Bob Ross.

...my friend, I am the FURTHEST thing away from being a snowflake.

.....and 99.99% of the time it's usually those who throw the stones who are they themselves guilty of the accusation.

Now get lost:party:

I'm a specs guy...isnt the stock oem 7.5" wide?!

It will "work" but you would be going against approved requirements.

Poses a danger, possible loss of air, etc..
... and possible loss of warranty and legal liability should something happen... like you had a blowout and lost control, etc.

Just like using 5w-20 oil when the spec calls for 0w...

Or removing NHSTA crash safety approved bumpers and installing aftermarket bumpers, etc.

I like to use 5W-30 oil. That will really void the warranty! LOL

Hey, my comment about the stock wheels being too narrow was just relaying a quote from 2 reps at Nitto tire. Depends on who you talk with or perhaps which attorney does a better sales job, right?

Only 35” tire you can safely clear on stock wheels (without wheel spacers) are the 35x11r18 Duratracs (285/75r18), but these are still 18” stock Sahara wheels, 35s won’t happen on stock 17” wheels. See it on mine below.

Yes, exactly 2”
cool, I never thought there was a 35 that would fit the stock Sahara wheels, but I like that look. Good proportions.
