I know this has been posted numerous times, but I'm scared of my own shadow, so before I drop the money...

275/70r18 will fit on a 2020 Sahara with no lift, no rubbing or other issues, right?

The stupid tire websites are all telling me that's not the right size for the vehicle, which I understand isn't what came in the factory setup, but...

put my mind at ease!

Thanks!

What load range are the tires you’re looking at? You’ll prefer a standard load or load C for daily driving comfort.

I have 275-65-18 Toyo AT3 Load C now, love them. Going to go to the 275-70-18 next. Problem is most in that size are load E and heavy. Best option might be General Grabber ATX, which comes in an SL in that size and only weights 46 lbs. I've wanted to avoid Load E but I love white letters if I can get them so I am eying either Duratracs (Load E and 57 lbs) or perhaps KO2 (Load E and also around 57 lbs I think)... thoughts anyone that has run these E tires? Mind you when I get the new shoes I'm also installing a 2" BB lift and Bilstein 5100's all around...on a 2021 Sahara 6sp (CF2 clutch)...

Why not just change to 17s? Opens up a bunch of C-range options.

Oh yeah thats an option, but then I'd want to at least go to a 34 (285-75-17), maybe 35x11.5, and with my 6sp (3.45 gears) that would require a regear to 4.56 which I don't wanna spend funds on at the moment, so keeping my stock 18's I am forcing myself to stick to a 33" tire and not be tempted to spend more money needlessly...

Rubicon takeoffs will cost the about the same as just tires, you’ll get C load and 33s, done and dusted.

Yeah its an option, although it seems all the ones for sale are mid west or west coast, not too many up here in the NE (NH)

Get the SL rated Generals. The E rated tires have much stiffer sidewalls and they will ride considerably more firm, some might say rough. You wont be able to air them down enough to change that. The 275/70/18 has a relatively narrow tread and therefore the inner and outer sidewalls are closer together.

Many suggest Rubicon take offs, which is a good idea. The problem is that they aren’t newr as plentiful as they were in the past. Less new Rubicons being sold and less buyers going full in on lifts and new wheels and tires on brand new Jeeps. Being able to buy an XR has also resulted in less 33” Rubicon take offs.
