So does FCA feel that it is important to safeguard their European countrymen but Americans are less worthy?
Maybe they feel the European countrymen are under a regulatory regime that requires it, and Americans have the choice of whether to buy a Sahara or Rubicon so can manage that decision themselves?

Heck, buy a Rubicon and then buy a Selec-trac to install on it.

Is there any way to petition FCA in allowing the 4H-Auto to be included in options for the American version of the Rubicon?
4H-Auto is a 'safer' drive-line option than 2D when traveling on mixed surface roadways in the winter!

My guess is that most Americans wouldnt want a Rubicon without the 4:1 low range the RockTrac offers...

6 speed available to order but nothing as far as production goes. The Tan soft top still remains to be seen. I'm assuming that that option will be late availability along with the other colors, 2.0, trail management system etc.

Please help JLWF...

Please lend your expertise,

Gave a deposit Tuesday for a Sahara Unlimited with manual transmission.
Options:
LED
Trailer Group
Dual Top
Cold Weather
Electronic Group

Dealer called me today saying the FCA contacted them and my build must have the Limited Slip Diff. Does this seem right? He mentioned if I drop the Trailer Group from the build it might not require it but then tried to execute that and the system wouldn't allow it.

Help me help the dealer please.

TIA

Greg

As of right now, all manual transmissions with the exception of the Rubicon are required to have the anti-spin. Can not be ordered otherwise. These kind of things come and go in the system with all vehicles. Sometimes they force you to add something. Sometimes they take out that forced add.

Good info. Its not like that in the order guide or the configurator. Not a bad option though.

But - does it get you all-terrain tires like some are claiming?

Thanks for the quick response. Seems crazy that this just became a requirement. My dealer just called back and said the same. Does that mean all prior orders will have to have this added too? Part of the appeal (though not all of it) was the savings of 2k over an auto. Guess its now 1.5k. Appreciate your insights!

Any chance this is the result of the “kinks” being worked out of the manual transmissions/clutches that have been mentioned here and there?

Hi Dealer Guy, any idea when we can order dual top for 2 door?

Does Jeep typically open up new order options with new allocations or are these unrelated?

Thanks for all your support on this forum.

They do usually open up new options at the new allocation period. This one starts Tuesday so we shall see. No idea on the Dual top yet for the 2 door.

Potentially. The actual invoice for a vehicle is only 100% accurate once it ships. I've seen where they run out of parts before and deleted items that were on a order. Like a fully loaded Laramie truck with no power seat, or a Recon without blutooth. It sucks but usually that is only stock orders. Sold orders sit in limbo till the item is available. In the this case, it may be added. We wont know till one is invoiced and shipped.
