I thought I read somewhere on here that Punkn metallic is available to order now. But when i called my local dealer, he said it wasn't in his system.

Anyone can confirm this?

Currently we are waiting for the late availability colors to open. No idea when but we all hope soon!

Does the Sahara come with a fuel cap door, as well? The pictures I see online show it with no fuel door. I checked with my sales person yesterday and she told me my Sahara does come with a fuel door? Can you confirm what she says? Are there pictures Im seeing pre-production models?

The Sahara does not come with the fuel door.

When Can I place my order for a JLU Rubicon?
How can get the Mopar addons?

You can order right now...many of us already have.

As to the Mopar accessories, I simply took the name, part number, and most of the prices (from the brochure that was posted by Jay) in to the dealer and ordered them. Installation is my responsibility, unless I want the service dept at the dealer to do it (nope, way too expensive for them to do it).

Thank you for clarifying. I was pretty sure it wasn't which I was pushed back on my sales person. Dealing with her makes me feel like I know more about this vehicle than she does.

Is there a factory installed option for this or do you have to go third party?

Yes, by paying attention here you're going to know more than your salesperson for the most part. She doesn't have a reason to obsess over a single vehicle at the expense of everything else she's trying to sell.

Factory option for what specifically? At the LA auto show they discussed being able to have the factory install the snorkel, so certainly some of the Mopar aftermarket gear can be handled that way, although I don't know whether dealerships will know how to make that happen.

i was speaking specifically about the fuel door. I'm not sure why the Rubicon gets one but the Sahara doesn't.

The fuel door is a MOPAR part. It's in the catalog for $125. I'm guessing there will be cheaper aftermarket options.

Just curious, are sold orders really processed first? It seems sold orders might process slower given they know people have made a down payment and are waiting. Also, my dealer told me they requested mine be a priority one which really seemed to be "a line" to make me feel more important.

What are the differences in how Chrysler treats dealer orders versus sold orders? Is a dealer order guaranteed to be built? Thanks for answering our questions!

The dealer told me that any RETAIL order, meaning one with a name attached to it, moves in front of the line to all DEALER orders, meaning one that is a stock order for a dealer. My plan was to just wait until a dealer got a loaded out rubicon 4 door and snag it, but in looking at the in transit orders none had the options I wanted. I went to the dealer and he pulled up their incoming orders and only one of the 15 they had on order was beyond D1 status and they were all ordered in October. FCA has told almost every dealer I've talked to that they might not get their stock orders until March. The dealer said he has no idea if he will get his before then and that if I wanted a one with specific options (even loaded) I would get it quicker by ordering than waiting for one to come in to one of the dealers. So I ordered. He doesn't have anything to gain by me ordering as I didn't have to put anything down or sign anything than the actual order.

Sold orders are supposed to go to the head of the line. With this being a "new" vehicle, they also want to get some on the ground. I imagine that in a couple months it should be smooth sailing once everything starts to get going.

I understand they get reimbursed by FCA, but didn’t know if it was one or the other. Obviously, EP is a great deal, but I don’t want to leave any money on the table that could be spent on the aftermarket.

You are only able to use the EP pricing. You can not use both. The system lets us select the rebates applicable for a deal and will gray out some other offers that you can't stack.
