Up for the downshift and down for upshift is the correct way for the shifter to be designed. In a manual transmission if you're shifting up you're more then likely downshifting. This mimics that. Rewire your brain.
...or don’t use a stupidly designed feature.

I drive a stick shift five days a week. I don’t need a lecture, but thanks.

14,500 miles on my 2021 JLUR 6-speed

AEV 2.5 lift with Teraflex IR arms, Metalcloak Undercloak, Tom Woods DS F&R, CFII clutch kit, Artec trusses F&R, MBRP high tuck exhaust, complete Steersmarts front end, 37 KM3s etc etc.

Zero issues to date and I wheel it 8-10x a year, daily drive it and give keys to wife when she wants.

One major problem I have is my addiction to modding the darn thing:headbang::angel:

Wait until you guys hit 50,000. Then boom. Total Christmas tree. And the only thing under that tree is a big bill and heart ache 💔

just hit 12k miles on the 2022 Diesel, no issues other then the outstanding recall on the fuel pump. Heck my 2018 JLUR 3.6 had 58k miles when I traded it for the Diesel with no issues other than Jeep updates to the steering and replacing both batteries...

My grill, front fender flares, and backseat all fell out last year and I never looked back... Other than that, zero issues! 😎

I've always been preemptive about my Wranglers upkeep. Obviously if your luck sucks, then it is what it is, but I've always been one to try and replace parts before they fail. Only big thing with that is paying attention to when certain parts tend to need being replaced and then make sure you get to it 10,000 miles early. ;)

2022 Stock Rubicon, 3.6 L, manual trans, built June 2022. over 18,000 miles, no issues at all. Gorilla Glass has held up to numerous rock hits, no paint bubbles at door hinges, all fuses have stayed where they belong, and 4 BOH badges. I guess I should go buy some lottery tickets.
