Mine is my only vehicle. I work from home, so sometimes I make up an excuse for a little cruise around. Many longer trips though. I have had it for 15 months, and just turned over 33,000 miles.
You are correct about being OK at night, if there is a light shinning at it. I had that in because I doubt there would be a light shinning on it from his Jeep all night.
2022 Stock Rubicon, 3.6 L, manual trans, built June 2022. over 18,000 miles, no issues at all. Gorilla Glass has held up to numerous rock hits, no paint bubbles at door hinges, all fuses have stayed where they belong, and 4 BOH badges. I guess I should go buy some lottery tickets.
I recently bought a front bumper and winch from them, both arrived faster than I expected and in good condition. The bumper box had a little damage, but that is on the shipper (FedEx). Nowadays I am more concerned about Porch Pirates stealing stuff delivered before I can get it inside.
Thanks to all that offered suggestions. This is why I love this group.
Seems all I had to do was wait for the top to get a little warmer. I left it in direct sunlight, and once the temp got above 75 and I gave it a little time, it closed no problem. Everything is drum tight and positioned as it...
The weather here finally has warmed up, and I went to put on my Sunrider Soft Top for the first time.
Everything went fine until I tried to secure the front with the header latches. No matter how much I try to stretch the material, a I am about an inch short of it being in the correct position...
I agree. I took my stock Rubicon one month after I got it to Moab. Ran Fins and Things solo, and while interesting, not too bad. Next day ran Hells Revenge and determined my cut off point. With more experience and a spotter it might have been different. For now I will stick to trails a little...
YESSSSSS. Thanks for the help. Now how about a hand lifting off the bumper?? Just kidding. This forum is fantastic, I learn something each time I come here.
I am in the process of removing the stock bumper on my JL, and I need to disconnect the wiring harness for the fog lights, that are mounted in the bumper. I will be reusing these, so I do not want to just cut the wires. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to un plug this. Pulling it...
Once I got my new Rubicon, I couldn't believe it didn't really have a decent place to keep my cell phone. I got this from Ridgeline through Quadratec. Easy install, looks like it come from the factory, and works great. I can even mount my GoPro camera on it. Less than $80...
They are crafty little devils. I found an underground nest of them once, right below my kitchen window. I thought I'd drown them out, so got a water hose and trained it on the opening. Immediately a swarm flew out and attached me repeatedly while I beat a hasty retreat. I waited till night when...
This question of when to change the air filter reminded me of one time with my old Ford Explorer.
I was a volunteer fireman and had a tap out for a call. I jumped into my Explorer and started out but whenever I got above about 10 MPH it would die. I knew I wouldn't get to the station in time...
Well, I was only 12 at the time, so my memory might be a bit fuzzy. Wikipedia says it came out in Dec 66, but at that time new model years came out in the Fall.
I only have one Jeep Duck so far, and it sits just fine on my dash.
And I got one on a recent cruise to Roatan, Honduras. That one will never see the inside of my Jeep!!
