I have the same issue going on right now with my 2023 JLU with 37k mi. VIN not included in recall. Initially wanted to charge over $1600, agreed to replace for $129 under Goodwill after complaining with customer service.

10 days in quarantine so far at the dealership. Was told part would be expected in a week initially, now they aren’t giving me any timeframe and will not provide a loaner.

way to go Jeep

I am having the same problem on my 2019 is the only solution getting a new cluster? Some forums say replace the batteries which I plan to do this weekend but they are still in green during battery test just a little low. The screen went out 12/7/25 came back on 12/9/25 for first ten minutes of drive then went back out. It is still back lit so idk. The recall seems to just be for the 3.5 base display

Weird. The funny thing is when a LCD craps out they go white, not black.

It's still possible that the flex cable itself is just broken and not repairable, thus the new lcd module getting installed by united radio when people send em in.

Not so sure about that. My lcd verified was out and it went black.

I dont know any details but the price is right, especially if you've been waiting months.
They are on Amazon too. I ended up going this route. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. It does what it is supposed to but there are a number of bugs and things they do not tell you.

First off, the dash panel has to be modified by removing the insert. The insert is on a number of heat staked posts. If one is very careful, it can be removed with enough the post left behind to revert the modification but most will just clip the posts.

Second, there are a number of quirks that show a lack of testing. For example, instantaneous MPG goes haywire when it gets down to ~8mpg, it jumps to 53.5mpg and hangs there until the throttle is reduced. MPH of the speedometer is off 1-2mph yet the cruise speed indicator is dead on. I had calibrated the mph with Jscan before my ipc went out so it has something to do with the new cluster. Estimated range always starts at 510 miles and scales down with fuel level. My Jeep will never come close to seeing 500 miles on a tank so it is kind of useless. There are other things, but they are all minor in the grand scheme of things

On the plus side, you can see all gauge readings on one screen, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, trans temp (doesn't work on my 6 speed, as expected), voltage, etc. The Offroad page is useful. I've always been an analog gage type of guy, but I prefer the LCD setup over the OEM cluster, seems much less cluttered.

How long it last is another matter, I've only had it for two months.
