If 450ftlbs of torque doesn't cut it we have bigger problems, my Dewalt (rated at 450ftlbs) has busted loose everything I can throw at it this includes rusted lower control arm bolts on my Land Rover LR4.
Any idea if age and use degrades the performance of these tools? I suspect mine, which is at least 5 (maybe more like 10) years old can’t break 150 ft/lbs.

Fresh charged battery for the nasty bolts.

I agree, Tom! We're in Denver as well. Been working on small upgrades, researching and planning out upgrades, trips, equipment needed and what trails to try. I saw, once this is over, we hit the trails here in Colorado! I saw the Colorado Jeep Club (On FB) is doing a meet up up in Idaho Springs this Saturday. With the weather and the quarantine we're going to pass but with EJS being cancelled along with all the campsites and town of Moab, I think the Colorado people should get together and do a EJS here in Colorado. Maybe pick a few trails to hit.
I’ll be up for that. I have joined the Denver group on this forum, but events have prevented me from joining any runs.

Not wrenching....wouldn't want to hurt my baby. I did, however, get out my tools in order to spay my golden retriever.

have a 700ftlb dewalt that has never struggled before but with the pitman arm but I went through 2 batteries getting it off. Crazy. It’s busted rusted bolts off a ‘76 FJ just fine, but that damn pitman arm but was something else

I replaced my rear tires on beadlocks, my least favorite wrenching job, and Not just because I have to put the tires back on.

Well aren't you clever. I put my wheels up on a 35 gallon barrel so that the weight of the tire pulls down when mounting tires by hand. I like the bolt and washer trick to apply pressure. I will use that in the future. To break beads, I place the tire and wheel on the ground and take another vehicle and drive up on the tire as close to the bead as possible and then move the steering wheel back and forth and it will pull the bead off.

The bead breaking was complicated because the drive is rather slopped. I tried just the high lift and it lifted the jeep up and it started to slide around even with the wheels blocked I don’t have d-rings on the front. My wife’s Audi and my Ducati are no help either.

Right there with ya. Seems like a good time to get it all knocked out. Can’t say enough good things about the synergy brace, although it’s a bitch if a project
that's awesome

So finished the Rockslide Engineering power step install this weekend. I was asked on this thread a couple of questions: Fit and finish on steps appears to be top notch I guess I will see how it holds up. You will need two people a couple of times during the install, just to big and heavy to do by yourself. Lastly the holes in the bottom of the Jeep are to small for the connectors so you will need a pin removal tool and silicone to seal it back up.

All that said I am loving them so far.
