Yellow Foam. Anyone else?

Happy Thanksgiving All,

Took delivery of my 2 door Sport back and July 2024 and I’ve loved having it. I noticed some protruding yellow-colored foam in the rear right wheel well (see photos). It’s definitely not present in any of the others.

First pic is detail, second shows where we are looking, third is opposite wheel well. Looks like some sort of insulation that they just got messy with in build but I was curious if seeing it was cause for bigger concern.

I just examined my '21 Sport. There weren't any signs at all of spray-in insulation, nor any related treatment, in the area of the wheel wells. Maybe yours was indeed just a bit of overspray, for example, on the production line.

Maybe mine has it, but if so, it's deeper inside the bodywork than I'm currently able to discern.

When I swapped to Rubicon fenders, I noticed some where the push rivet holes were.

I have it in several places in my 2022 Willys.

I have some in the same location of my '20. It appears that the intent is to keep water out of that seam area, but in my case, there is not nearly enough to actually perform that task.
