I have a question for anyone who installed 37" tires on their 392. I have a 2024 392 XR and am on the fence whether or not to install 37" Mickey MT's with KMC tank wheels 17". I actually use our 392 to check fences out in very uneven hilly terrain in storms and at 2am in the morning. I also go up mountains at the same time to check other fences that might come down along with trees. So, I use 4L and disconnect, and have full skid plates including exhaust. I'm seriously thinking of getting 37"s but don't want to lift the Jeep. It handles and drives absolutely awesome. Just wanted to know people's real-world experience before I pull the trigger. Thanks everyone. Pick of the jeep.

Love the ride and I think it’s better with 456 gears to have 37 inch tires. I do a lot of highway driving and still can light them up off the line. Go for it no regrets

My AEV JL370 392 feels absolutely perfect. The AEV 2.5” lift and 37’s are a great combination. You can really tell AEV did their homework engineering their suspension and wheel offset around a 37” tire. Mine came with the rather rare 4.63 Nitro gears from AEV since I sent them a none XR, and they didn’t have the 4.56 ratio available at the time.

Just food for thought, maybe look into a larger diameter 35 first as the ko2 is closer to 33.5”

Bridgestone told me the size is determined before it is mounted. I bought 5 BFG KO2 in 315/70R17(c) and they measured 34.8”. Once They were installed they were an inch or more smaller.

Mopar installed their lift and blessed my new wheels with the 315/70R17(c). I see 8th speed on the highway all the time.

Wait…what was my point…oh yeah…if performance or warranty matters, I would stick to 35”.

Get the c-rated KO2 37s - they tend to run smaller and narrower. You should see very minor scraping if any when you are sway bar disconnected and flexing it to the max. Even in that case the longer XR bump stop should come to the rescue and save the day.

37s C-rated KO2 are 64lb per tire and you wont notice any change in acceleration and mpg once you have calibrated the speedo. 392 has enough torque to move these as if it were 33s on 2.0T engine.

I've seen lots of 35 vs 37 posts, but this is more what I've been wondering - who's got regrets. And from the answers I'm seeing, this thread is going to cost me some money...

no regrets going to 37s here, but i did it as part of a whole project, didn't just slap 37s on.
wheels, gears, upgraded axle shafts, etc.

you should know that even with a small lift, 37s slightly rub the rear opening of my right rear fender liner at full twist.

be sure you also consider your spare; will you be able to fit a 37 in your spare location? do you have a spare carrier that will handle the weight of a 100+ lb tire?

even with my diesel (which makes about the same torque as your engine) everything runs much happier when regeared appropriately than it did with stock gearing.

i'd say that unless you're going to do the whole job, get those Mickeys in 35s, and enjoy. (i loved my 35" Mickey BB M/Ts!)

I agree that 37's are ideal on 4-door JL's as their wheelbase is nearly 22 inches longer (118.4") than 2-door JL's (96.8") but still not convinced 35's are not the ideal all around size on 2-door's...and I have 37's on my '20 JLR!
I do however plan some suspension upgrades on my '24 JLR-X W/35's but 'lift wise' only plan to raise her by less than an inch...Just enough that if I decide to run 37" KO2's /KO3's in the future, she will be ready!

Powerwise there is zero doubt the 392 (the OP has a 392 XR) would have any issue whatsoever smoking 37's especially with the 4.56's on the XR! All XR models come with a 1.5" suspension lift (except the 392 Final Edition which comes with a 2.0' lift) and ridiculously massive front bump stops! To safely run 37's at flex (especially with the already huge front bumps) you should only need another inch (maybe a bit less) of lift. With the extra 1/2" lift of the 392 Final Edition, you could probably get by with zero extra lift and just a little 'heat gun work' to the rear inner fender liners!

Final note on 37 KO2 D's vs 37 KO2 C's...Tired of typing so reposting my original post of 2 1/2 years ago on the 37 KO2 C...

I still feel the same as when I wrote the above post, I do however love the look of the 37' D's! Also after initially using 29PSI cold, I settled on 30PSI cold for the 37 D's mounted on 17x8.5" wheels...

I went with the 4" Clayton Overlander kit and KO2's in 35' and wish I went 37's off the rip. I will be upgrading to them as soon as I get 1/2 through these 35's
