Any windshield love yet?

Didnt take long folks: 7 days of ownership and 300 miles. Chip, spider....will need to replace. I keep hearing about "future" Gorilla Glass and nothing (Yet) - PLEASE correct me.

I dont want to have to manage windshields forever. My old Jeeps didnt seem to have "millennial glass"

Do we have any good options yet?

I'm already on my second windshield after 6000 miles and need a third. I carry zero deductible for glass but I think if I keep replacing, my insurance my frown on me so I'm riding #2 out for a while longer since the two cracks are well below my view. My TJ's always ended up cracked but seemed like the glass was stronger and didn't split as easily. I live out in the county so most of my driving is on a county highway and rocks -- just happen.

Yeah same here with the insurance. Mine is just a quarter size chip. I have someone coming out tomorrow to try and repair the chip.. Never did that before but hope I can get away with it.

Mine cracked 3 weeks after buying my new 2019 JLUR, just 380 miles on it (3 days ago). Crappy glass, but also just a really bad angle (compared to cars/non-jeeps). I decided to go with generic and forego the little jeep willys icon/non-mopar. Save a hundred bucks because its just going to crack again in a few weeks.

Mine was around 400 last fall.
I think thinner glass was another weight saving measure to increase mpg.
My price is standard mopar acoustic glass. Not sure what it would be in the 19 models with adaptive cruise control. Those have a heater in the glass around some of the components.

Hey guys - i have a replacement coming (P/N#68401325AA). They insisted that this fits the JL (even though i pressed them to ensure), although it looks like it fits the JK. It's Gorilla Glass, which is what made me suspect. I'm hopeful/doubtful. Anyone have any opinion on this? I plan to have the installer check the fitment, prior to removing the old windshield.

Please keep us posted. I am now on windshield #3 with only 7000 miles on the odometer. At $650 a windshield, this is beyond frustrating.

This!! I just had Safelite repair a crack today! Jeep is 4 weeks old!
