Was vacuuming the Wrangler (2019 JLU sport) today and when I finished I found this hanging. It was located on the driver side, forward of the shift levers, and there appeared to be a hole in the floor rug for the wire. It is small, with what appears to be a spring loaded button that will depress (but it doesn't lock down or anything). There is also a small clear plastic part. The vehicle will start fine, all the lights appear to be working, and the wiring isn't long enough to get up into anything under the dash or in the shift lever console area.

Any ideas? Thanks

The OEM LED lights don't look like that.
Fair enough… I think I remember mine being more rectangular but wasn’t sure. I still think it looks like a little LED light. Maybe a backlight for a switch, or gauge?

Looks like a pressure switch to me but that makes zero sense in that location. Also, the wire colouring doesn't look OEM either but that just conjecture.

Did you buy new or used? If used, maybe a kill switch that the owner disconnected before they sold?

I presume you pushed the button and nothing happened? Did you buy the Jeep used or new? Used -previous owner put it in. New - go back and ask the dealer WTF?

Good point. It may very well be aftermarket. I’ll be curious to see if OP ever figures it out

I was thinking it doesn't look stock either.

Did you buy it used? Could it be an auxiliary switch of some kind that's no longer in use?

Looks like some sort of a butt probe that needs an extension... ?

Looks like a little momentary switch used in aftermarket alarms.
