First, yes, @WOLFBOX CAR LIFE gave me the system to review it, no charge, but also zero strings attached. It arrived yesterday; I installed it this afternoon. Sorta a Florida Man install; if you look very closely there are a few spots where wire is exposed. I’m good with that, for now. It was a two-beer job, albeit 9.9% ABV IPAs.

I have two initial, minor criticisms. First, the install instructions suck, but the good thing is there are a plethora of install videos on YouTube. @wibornz has the best, in my opinion.

Second, although trim removal tools are provided, I was glad I had my own on-hand, because I bent one of theirs in half.

I won’t talk much about my install for now, but I will answer questions here; there are a number of ways to do it. For the rear camera, I sticky-mounted it with the supplied 3M-ish pads, on top of the OEM rear camera cover. I have the wire going through the spare and through the tailgate vent. The trail cam I mounted on the bull bar with zip ties. Like I said, Florida Man install.😁

All three cameras give really good hi-res feeds to the mirror screen, which I chose to mount OEM-style. I removed the OEM mirror and mounted the Wolfbox in its place, with the supplied mounting hardware. Just installing that took half of my consumed beer to complete.

I played around with the system just a little bit. I am extremely impressed, BUT… I have to dig into it much more for awhile to give my final review. I give it two thumbs up for now.

One warning I forgot to add, because I know I’m not the only idiot around here. When hardwiring it into the fuse box, DO NOT pull a fuse and then forget where you pulled it from🤣

How'd you deal with the visor?
John, I don’t use my visor hardly at all, and when I do, I only drop it slightly, not even down to the mirror, and I’m tall and wear a western hat. As far as the passenger visor, if my wife needs it, it’s very simple to pivot the mirror out of the way.

I’m assuming that was your question about the visor?

The passenger side shouldn't be an issue due to the way a mirror is typically tilted. The driver's side, however, will impact it, making the visor unusable. That's a no-go for me.

You do know you can turn the mirror a little to deploy the visor, then reset the mirror, right?

i understand your lack of interest.

Two minor points. Since it’s a screen and not a mirror I leave it parallel to the windshield. If you picture the left side of the ”mirror” at the 9 o’clock position and the right side at the 3 o’clock position, you can easily pivot the mirror in a counterclockwise direction to about the 7 o’clock position then move the drivers side visor up or down. Then simply turn the mirror back to its original position. If you’re constantly flipping the visor up and down, it would be a hassle.

The bigger issue for me is getting used to the ghost images of the interior of the Jeep on top of the screen‘s image. To me it’s worth having this field of view rather than just seeing the spare tire and whatever else would block what you see in a regular rear view mirror. I hope over time it will be the new normal.

Mine is a little smaller. It's turned at quite an angle so the visor can come down while barely touching it. Having to move the mirror every time I needed the visor would really suck.

My current mirror doesn't easily rotate vertically, so maybe that approach would work with this one.

No my attempt to describe moving it is poor I’m trying to describe the mirror rotating horizontally but still using “o’clock“ to describe how far the mirror needs to be turned.

Your 12 o’clock would be looking straight out the front windshield. Your 6 o’clock would be directly behind you. In it’s original position with the mirror parallel to the windshield, the left end of the mirror would be pointing to your 9 o’clock, to drop the visor, pull the left end of the mirror toward you horizontally to your 7 o’clock.

I probably made it worse. If so, let me know and I’ll post two pics.

Gotcha. Mine (another brand that's smaller), by default, is already turned significantly towards me instead of parallel to the windshield.

If I didn't do that then I'd have to move it every time I needed to pop down the visor. Popping down the visor is typically done when you can't see shit, so adding another step to that would be less than ideal. And, of course, from the wife's perspective it's a "no fucking way".

No install pics? Or at least beer pics?
Terry, this one’s for you, showing the beer and the rear camera mount.😁

I have it mounted like this, so when I do a tire rotation, I just unplug the cam and slide off the OEM camera cover it’s mounted to.

FYI, @WOLFBOX CAR LIFE DID NOT send me the beer too.

John, this one’s for you, the visor on the driver’s side. This is as far as I *rarely* drop it anyway.
