But that being said, I have 24000 miles on my Jeep, running very cold to very hot on the beach and encountered no problems. I am very aware of not over tightening the oil filter housing when doing an oil filter change. I think this activity is one of the main causes of failure. They also see this failure in the BMW twin turbo engines that I have in an older X5 with 107,000 miles on the engine.
