Does or has anyone else created a maintenance log/record and file their paperwork after services are performed?

Maybe I’m crazy but I also filed all of my initial purchase paperwork to include my original temp tag and window sticker...

Am I anal retentive?
I am not quite that organized but I do log everything in an excel spreadsheet. Fuel stops with the gas station location, the works.

Edited to say I was in the Air Force, so yeah maybe a military thing.

I keep electronic versions (Acar) because I cannot remember what I've done to which vehicle.

Word doc for each car. Paper goes in a file folder. Four years Navy - felt like 20 since it was the early sixties :) Here is the Word doc for the 2019 JLR:

12/24/2018 – 5
Took Delivery!

01/21/2019 – 763
Broken windshield defrost wire stripped, crimped, soldered and shrink wrapped under warranty.

03/19/2019 – 1453
Disassembled and reassembled the latch to the lower center console. Used super glue to keep pin from shifting out of the holder.

I may go to this when my children begin to drive, or at least on their vehicles. May become too much for me at that point.

Something about paperwork all orderly though.. love it haha

Yeah, I do pre-, during-, and post-ops PMCS on my Jeep. I keep a detailed maintenance log too, which has been a joy since it’s just gas and oil changes right now whereas my YJ basically filled a notebook with receipts, fixes, diagnoses and notes. I’ll also be doing used oil analyses on every change.

You sir are officially my hero. I gotta know; you're in a tech/numbers field, aren't you? Safety systems, engineering, medical, data, accounting, etc.

Did you spend more than 30 days active duty at Camp Lejeune between January 1, 1957 and December 31, 1987? If so, you probably already know you get priority treatment at the VA. If you didn't know, check it out.

That was before my time brother. Not to get off subject but I hear they have finally recognized the issues from that time period with the water and such and are taking care of people. A little too late unfortunately for some but at least they’ve begun to do something I suppose. Good lookin our though for sure! I’m sure my time spent will be covered under something eventually haha Spent enough time in Iraq I’m surprised my piss doesn’t glow in the dark.

I’m starting to see a trend here...

USMC here..

Is it a military thing possibly?
Nope, but I was Army! I figure that's what the dealer is for. He can keep my records straight. It's one less thing for me to do. Because I'm one of those women who loves to drive a nice clean pretty Jeep, but everything else the dealer takes care of:like:
