I used a 2 foot breaker bar to remove, and a 250 ft-lb torque wrench turned to 160 or 190 to install. The larger torque wrench has a longer handle.

Also, to prevent the other side from turning you can use a combo wrench plus a strap lashed from the wrench to the frame somewhere nearby. Takes a moment to set up but once it's there then you only have one end of the bolt to worry about.

hercules ultra torque is up there with the Milwaukee.

the Herc has 1500lbs breaking torque, which is probably inflated but not by a lot.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news and all...

But they're all overrated, every single one of them.

The only real difference between cheap and expensive is how overrated they are.

But you don't have to take my word for it check this channel out.

Another trick I saw years ago to hold the nut/wrench in place is to use a jack stand to prop up the wrench. Tried it and it actually works once you get it in the right spot. Also a trick to getting leverage on the LCAs to torque to 190 ft/lbs is to use an extension so the torque wrench is out from under the Jeep. Place a jack stand under the extension to help hold it still and level with the bolt head as you torque it down while standing.

I’ve never had this problem cause I’ve had this 12v impact wrench that you plug into your car since previous vehicles to rotate tires quickly but also works for everything under the vehicle too https://amzn.to/3ZHgD7p
You show me a video of you using this tool to remove the front lower control arm bolts that are torqued to factory spec of 190 foot pounds and I’ll buy one. Or you’re joking maybe?

I am a broken down old drunk and I can do it..just need a longer breaker bar. The only ones I found that are a beetch is the lower front control arms...those are 190 ft/lbs and will give you a work out.
Thats when you put it in the air and get a 5 ft cheater pipe, aren't you glad you never had to worry about them coming lose, whew LOL

I recently replaced the front LCAs on my '21 XR with the longer Mopar LCAs. My Milwaukee M12 impact was able to remove 3 of the 4 bolts. The M12 is only rated for 100 ft-lbs so my LCAs apparently weren't tight enough.

huh - be careful with that! I lost one of the LCA nuts before I realized the bolts were not aufficiently torqued!

I didn’t use any power tool, built two wheel cribs for an extra 9” clearance, more leverage with the floor Jack handle, done.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
From what I remember it was turned up and fresh off the charger.
My bud has a stump grinder, and the cutting teeth are torqued at 450 ft-lbs of torque and he has the same impact gun that I have. He zips the bolts out with ease.

RETIRED!
This will get'er done! 3000 ft/lbs of nut busting torque! The last place I worked before I retired had just purchased the long shank version of this for truck tires. It made the 1" air wrench a thing of the past.

So semi truck lug nut torque is between 450-500 ft-lbs. Most shops have a non adjustable torque wrench preset for 475 ft-lbs and call it good.
https://tiresupplynetwork.com/produ...-lug-nut-torque-wrench?variant=47436958105908
Note the length is 54 inches

Shouldn't need that silly thing to undo semi lug nuts. Also it doesn't make anywhere near 3,000 lbs of nut busting torque but oh well.

I actually used it to to tighten my lca bolt, because the shop didn't torque it properly. Was on the highway at night and I kept hearing metal hitting against each other. The LCA was about to fall out of one of the mounts. Nothing I had was strong enough to even torque the bolt all the way through until I tried the impact.

Cool video. i guess I’m still skeptical until I see it loosen a bolt confirmed with a torque wrench to be tightened at 190 foot pounds.

It is amazing how many times I use that phrase in my life. Never knew it would come up so much.
