I bought 8 speakers plus the sub off a guy with a premium audio 2020 Sahara. When I went to install the speakers in my 2021, I realized they looked the same, and had the same part numbers. I made a post about it.
Then you did not get the actual Alpine speakers.

The sub yes, speakers no. The Alpine speakers should have different part numbers.

Unless something has changed:
  • Standard eight speakers
    • Two 2.5-inch speakers in the instrument panel
    • Two 4.5-inch front door speakers
    • Two 2.5-inch sound bar speakers
    • Two 4.5-inch sound bar subwoofers
  • Available premium Alpine audio system with nine speakers
    • Two 3.5-inch speakers in the instrument panel
    • Two 4.5-inch front door speakers
    • Two 3.5-inch sound bar speakers
    • Two 4.5-inch sound bar subwoofers
    • One 10-inch quad voice coil subwoofer
This post on the JT forums shows the difference between the 2.5" base and 3.5" Alpine speakers:

Mid = Mid Range

Set it to what sounds best for you.

I think it sounds tinny with too much mids, mine set at mids -4, base at level or 0 maybe +2 sometimes, treble at +4. A lot depends on what you are listening too and the volume you listen at...

You’re right, all this time I thought they were the same but I guess the guy i bought them from lied or accidentally got the wrong speakers.

Are the 4.5” ones the same part numbers between options? Is it just the smaller speakers they use different ones?

None... but it pays well.
Happy with mine... though 10 is my operating volume level. 16 is my maximum. The higher you increase the volume the more distortion and dampening of frequencies to feed power to the sub woofer. 50% is max for any commercial power consumption even though they say you have enough power, the limitation is weak power supplies.

I've been .meaning to ask this question for quite sometime..mid range in alpine does what exactly and how should I set it at a lower level or higher level?...im fine adjusting treble and base but not sure if there is a recommended setting level for mid?
At normal volume turn the mid range all the way up and then turn it all the way down. The impact to the sound should be obvious. Contrary to what some may say, there is no right or wrong setting. Set them to where you think your music sounds good to you.

Mid range controls are typically centered on 1khz. Increasing the mid range is going to make the sound more edgy, decreasing it will make it more smooth. How much so will depend some what on the type of music and of course how far up or down you set it.

In my experience, with all the eq settings at 0 the Alpine system has a mostly neutral sound signature, if not a little laid back in the upper frequencies. Though when you turn the volume up there is a mid range push that starts with the volume set at 17 or 18, that increases as you turn up the volume further.

I prefer a smoother more natural sound. With the Alpine system in my JL, I normally have the bass kicked up 2 or 3 notches, the treble up 1 or 2, and the mid range down 1 or 2. In the summer, when the top and doors are off most of the time, the volume goes up so I will turn the mid range down further and maybe bump up the bass a couple more notches. In the summer I also use the eq on my phone for further fine tuning.

I have the Alpine system in my JL and replaced the speakers in the dash and soundbar with Kicker plug and play speakers from Trail 7. I am very pleased with the sound from both, On the other hand we put a full Alpine system in my wife's JK using the ILX507 tuner with components in the dash and dash panels as well as 6.5" speakers in the soundbar. In addition, we had a 100 watt amp installed as well as the stinger subwoofer and separate amp for it.
I think my system sounds as good if not better than hers but she loves hers and it has plenty of power.
It all comes down to what you want to spend and how much trouble you want to go through to install it. The kicker system took less than an hour to install and was plug and play with a cost of just over $400. The Alpine was two days in the shop and I won't even say what that cost. Just info from someone that has done both.

So I have the alpine system but upgraded the front speakers, crossbar speakers and the sub woofer/amp. The only thing stock is the head unit and the under dash speakers. Doors, floor and SOT top are all sound proofed now. And yes the difference is DRAMATIC. Instead of rattling around like a cheap base unit it now sounds and feels like a $70,000 Jeep. Oh wait, it was around $70K all in.

I would also consider the One Touch Sky top as an option. It automatically comes equipped with the Alpine. My wife doesn’t have Alpine and I do. I wanted the top and didn’t care too much about the speaker sound since I love exhaust/engine noise better. She now takes mine just based on the Alpine speakers alone. Looks like I’m upgrading her system now. 🤣
1000% agree. Wouldnt have another jeep without the one touch. It is so convenient.
