MY AEV/ Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 35's E Rated combo is right at 100lbs. I was surprised to see 8th gear as much as I do. It's not a huge difference to be honest. I get 21-23 mpg unless I am on the interstate at 70+mph, then its 18-20 (2.0 turbo). I've been playing with tire pressure between 30 and 34. Under 30 and I get some side flex and it feels like I am on mash potatoes.

Yep, I think it's more critical to keep the weight down once you go to 37's. My 37" tire combo is 91 lb with spacers.

I’m running the JK version, on 35’s (KO2’s)I still get 8th gear and haven’t had any issues.

Subscribed to this thread. Just ordered JL spec onyx borahs. I wanted a little more poke but not as much as the jk spec. I think the jl version will push out 1.19” if I am doing the math correctly...

Oh, and will run tf 1.5 ST1 and ridge grappler 35x12.5. Have the 3.3 SP2 shocks for 0-1.5” on order but am a little worried about the “stiff ride” everyone seems to complain about.

I think the AEV wheels for the JL have the perfect amount of poke. Enough to give a wider stance but still keep rocks and such up in the fenders,

Here is little different view of AEV JL Pintler wheels and 37x12.5r 17 STT pros

I like really that- a little more aggressive than stock but not way out. Also think the more offset you have, the more narrow the tires end up looking as they are pushed out away from the jeep. Even with 12.5's going on I am wondering if I will still want them wider! :)

This is the miniscule poke I get with stock 285/70R17 BFG KO2s. I need to get some meatier tires under mine.

I see in your profile you have a 2.75" lift with the AEV wheels with 25mm offset. What lift did you use that works well with the AEV wheels and 37" tires?

Mopar. 13.5" is a no go, that extra 1/2" inboard would be an issue on my rig and IMO needs a wider wheel. Talk to AEV, they did a lot of R&D with BFG 37's(shorter than most) and their 2.5" lift. It has heavier duty springs which I did not want.
cool thanks for t he data points. I dont think I would ever want to go 37x13.5 because I cant imagine how sluggish my jeep would become, even with regearing, although the wider tire I am sure looks awesome. Biggest I would ever want to go is what you have, although I am starting with a 2” spacer lift and 35’s and hope that will satisfy me!

So I'm about to pull the trigger on these wheels. Are there any vendors that have better pricing for forum members or are these pretty much price fixed from AEV? Or can I expect a X-mas sale anytime soon from anyone?

AEV rarely goes on sale and they control the prices across all vendors, so no discounts on those wheels.

if you are willing to pick up some JK edition Borah’s they have the machines ones on sale on the AEV website.

Ya, rarely on sale. But, back in May, I got a buy 4 get the fifth wheel free deal. Rings were still full price. 5 Onyx Borahs with 5 Onyx Rash Rings ended up being $1780.80
