Anyone running the JL borah's on a JL and decided to use wheel spacers? Would that cause any issues? I would like a little wider stance then stock, running 37's btw
TIA

Should not cause any issues. Just use quality spacers.

Want to warn about these bolts coming with Borah protection ring, they are extreme soft and will snap with moderate torque (~20 ft lbs). They are grade 8.8. I have two bolts snapped on me, even though I used generous amount of anti-seize and torque wrench. I drilled one out but the thread is ruined, now I am afraid of drilling the other one.

I replaced all other bolts with grade 12.9, for reference these bolts are M8 x 1.25 x 35mm

I was noticing the same thing when I installed mine. Luckily none broke, but I’m dreading taking them off.

I feel you. I had two broke, and several on the edge of broken. Definitely disappointed since I am a big fan of AEV.

Has hanyone run some sort of button head bolts on these? I'm kind of shocked as to how far the supplied bolts stick out to get snagged on stuff

How hard was it to get that broken bolt out? Seems like a solid hit on a rock would most definitely snap the head off the bolt.

The good news is they are very soft, so likely a good EZ-out of LHT drill bit should get them out, although you have to go easy on them otherwise the thread could be damaged.

So I drilled out another one today, PITA. Had to tap the thread and replaced all bolts with grade 10.9 black bolts, now it is much less likely to broke, and I dig the black on onyx look.

You can see some of the AEV bolts I get out are already bent, that is how soft they are.
