I was going to order a '22 Sahara Altitude this week with all the tech options. The dealer priced everything out and currently has a '22 High Altitude with the 2.0 someone just bailed on and they're holding it for me until I see it in two days. It's loaded with everything but the Advanced Safety Group. The adaptive cruise is something I've really wanted if I was getting a new car, my girlfriend has it in her Subaru and it's great.

But I'm left with decision, the High Altitude with everything but Advanced Safety Group, or put in the order for the Sahara Altitude with the everything plus the Advanced Safety Group. So the big question is, how long of a wait time would it be to realistically get the ASG if ordered this week? Is it really worth the wait time for a $800 package? I can certainly live without it since I've never owned it before. And I'm impatient and my girlfriend actually really likes the High Altitude haha

Adaptive sounds like something I would mess with once or twice and never use again. But that has a lot to do with where I live. I don't use cruise very often. But waiting 3 months or whatever to get what what I want might be worth it but adaptive is not important to me or even seem that good. Engine yeah I would order, right transmission etc.

Mine was pretty basic though, cold weather and LED lighting. I don't really need a light on my side mirror for blind spot. :)

But each their own I am like you pretty impatient. Also COLOR! I mean they are only black or white?

Yeah, I really could live without it. I'm kind of like you. Seems cool to use but it doesn't seem to work great in stop and go traffic, which would be ideal, but that's Tesla level self driving. If it's anything like the Subaru it cuts off when you stop long enough. The Subaru will bring you to a stop, but after a couple seconds it says it's off and you have to use the brake pedal again.

And ironically, I was going to order a black Sahara Altitude and the High Altitude is white haha. So it actually does come down to black or white for me. The all white with the black wheels does look clean. Some nice tint and you have yourself a fancy Wrangler Stormtrooper

I do love a bright white Wrangler with black accents, I had a black Jk and unless they improved the clear coat after a year it seems to have got those like barely invisible spider web swirls on it. Beauty when clean though just sun would show those tiny scratches. I think it is black in general it just makes the micro scratches show a bit more. Not a game changer though because black is just awesome on a Wrangler.

I got gray on the Rubicon mostly because I don't see many around here. Not until I get mine anyway!!

I had ACC in my truck and my wife’s 2017 Si does not have it. I drive 35 highway miles one way to work. I don’t have the truck anymore so I definitely notice the dumb cruise control that maintaines the same speed forever In my wife’s car.

When I ordered my 22 Rubi I got the advanced package. I want to get exactly what I want on the order
No way I wanna deal with any possible regrets later.

Pretty much any order placed now is gonna be 4 months away from order to keys in hand. Some have got very quick build/delivery durations and there are also still some 2021 orders still waiting for their ride.

Jeep is gonna be a long term driver. Get it exactly how you think you want it.

If you place your order in November it was not for a 2021. Around 16 October the order books for 2021 stopped and 2022 started. Unless your trying to say in November of 2021 you ordered your Jeep.

And then 2022 wrangles didn’t start being made until December.

If you're looking at ordering a Jeep or buying one right now and the deal is similar, I would recommend buying it now and enjoying it (because waiting isn't fun).

Also a few things to note that people often overlook:
-When you get ACC there is a large box placed behind the rearview mirror that has the sensors in it, it is not visually obstructive but it is noticeable.
-Because of the sensors, it requires a different windshield which costs about 2x as much (approx $500-600) as the standard. It also requires a sensor recalibration from the dealer. (not a big deal if you have glass insurance)

I ordered my Jeep with adaptive because at the time I told myself "all it needs to do is work once and that pays for it" (referring to the forward speed collision). After having it in my Jeep, I really only use it for road trips and wouldn't look at it as a deal breaker. Plus, it's not like I have any track record for rear ending someone so my logic initially was flawed.

I have had adaptive in other vehicles and loved it, like in my Scat Pack challenger but I also drove that car like a sports car and didn't mind the more aggressive braking/accelerating.

Whelp, went to the dealership today. Test drove what they had. They weren't able to hold the High Altitude longer than 24 hours. So fun!

Ended up spending more time in a 4Xe and I was actually pretty happy with it. Almost bought the Sahara 4xe they had but it didn't have both safety features or the tow package. So I'm putting in an order for a 4xe Sahara with everything. They claim 10 weeks.

How much did they offer you under invoice? Also, the time frames are all over the place…nobody knows.
