6 speed manual shifter size

Anyone know what size drill bit I need to make a custom shifter knob? I got a cool river rock, that I want as my shifter knob.

I think this is going to be a bit of a challenge. The shifter is held on by a rectangular plastic clip. I was able to get it off by putting a bearing separator below the knob so you have something to hold onto and yanking up. Something like this:

What do you plan to do about the reverse interlock?

I plan on keeping the interlock just like it is. Just need to know what size the shifter shaft is. Gonna liquid nails it on..
On my JK, I put an adjustable wrench below the knob, tapped the wrench, and the knob came off...
