Passed a fellow jeeper with these on. i have to say that they are "500% annoying asF". Really bright, almost meme worthy.
By "on" do you mean just the blinkers function was super bright, or were they driving around with the white or amber lights switched on full time?

Well, I actually just ordered a set, should be here Saturday so I'll do a quick review once I get a chance to install them. I've always liked the idea of these fender lights, just didn't like the previous design as much as these new ones.
Make sure to get hold of a light meter and determine the luminance of the standard factory vents and then again with the LED vents and see if, indeed, it is 500% greater

I'll check the airflow through the vent too to make sure it's 500% worse :CWL:

That’s the thing, is any venting left or is it a solid piece with the lighting? The vent is functional for the engine compartment and to reduce the hood fluttering. I like the idea but still want the operational venting.

Oracle sidetracks keep the vent there, so there's that option. Once I get mine I'll post some pics, good thing about Amazon is free returns.

I was wondering the same. I have been looking at these side lights styles but the blocking of the vent has kept me from getting a pair. Can definitely feel heat coming through of you put your hand by them. If I try some will be the Oracles.

Looks like there's a bunch of different "vendors" on Amazon selling them, this was a pic from one of them. I'm not expecting a whole lot for $40, but if the white LEDs are basically just a small indicator light it's likely going back to Amazon.

Truth be told, I'm waiting for your installation story come this Saturday. Are you still on track to make that happen, or is it unfair that I'm trying to hold you to it? ?

Surprise teaser!

Initial thoughts: decent build quality, lights are bright enough in medium ambient light, not sure how visible they'd actually be in brighter daylight. I'd say the white lights are enough to give minor light, but they're not going to light up your whole campsite or surroundings though. This could be a good thing camping as you won't piss off everyone around you, but still give you some minor light to work around the vehicle or put things away before bed.

In conclusion, infinitely brighter than stock plastic, infinitely more vent air blockage than stock, and I will attempt the install hopefully this weekend.

Edit, I just took same tape and placed it overtop of the existing fender vent, here's a couple pics of how bright the white light is (tried my best to recreate how bright it actually seemed, but pics are difficult to do this). First pic is with my garage lights on, second is the wall next to the jeep with the garage lights off.

You and everyone else! Now they're on backorder stock!
Installed today, could not get the DRL to work, but I didn’t really care about that anyway. The turn signals are cool though..

make sure to buy extra clips, you will break some off when removing the fenders. I recommend getting at least 10.

which wire did you connect to for DRL? I had power but they wouldn’t come on...

I just used a power supply to temporarily power it, so didn't try to tap into any vehicle wires. I plan to tap into the same ones that Oracle says to use for their sidetrack lights.

Northridge has a good write up on the sidetracks too that you could copy from.

It appears that some of the 22's have the light in the mirror housing.
I will wait for it to be available aftermarket.
