$50,000 vehicle does not include printed manual?

Mine didn’t come with one. Don’t miss it. The argument it has valuable information doesn’t make sense to me because the digital versions of it have valuable information too, potentially even more valuable. Though even if it were 100% identical, I agree with @gato that in 2025, you should not be getting a printed manual.

The PDF version of an owner's manual is a searchable document. No more thumbing through pages and pages to find something specific.

I have found the index in the owners manual to be very helpful in avoiding this problem. It gives very specific pages that deal is very specific things.

This thread is seriously blowing my mind. Let’s push this a level further, shall we? It seems we’re just a 1/4-inch away from it anyway.

- Searchable, always-accessible, ready-at-the-hand, always-up-to-date digital manuals are crap. Why don’t we go back to the book press.
- Remember when we had steam engines? Those times were great.
- What about doctors selling you alcohol as a medicine and wearing pest masks? Wasn’t that great? Modern meds are all just fake and harmful anyway. Don’t forget about the parasites!
- How about when you could only sail across the ocean and not fly. So much more time to relax, right?
- What about hand voting like in Switzerland? Should we go back to hand votes only? Those were great times.
- What about life expectancy in the late 40s at best? Wasn’t that great times? Who wants to live to 80 anyway.
- what about this forum? Should we just go back to writing each other letters?

don’t get me wrong, if you want a printed manual, you should be able to easily and cheaply get it ie from the dealer or ordering it online. But complaining it’s not there when it’s available to you in a better form is just so twisted.

EDIT: crazy how upsetting a stupid manual can be to me. I should try to relax.

These are jeeps,,, doesn't anyone take the off road to places that don't have cell service anymore?
I hope I don't need something simple that could have been explained in a manual when I am sitting somewhere off road in Colorado/UTAH/ Alaska with no signal

note , I have been to all of these places with my Jeep with no signal.. so far so good but you know.....

You think they removed over 200 pages worth of features from 2018 to 2023, or did they just stop printing it?

Nothing new here unless it's been 10-20 years since you bought or leased a brand-new car or truck.

Guess what? You can have the manual permanently printed at request or just download the file. I bet you find what you’re looking for in an emergency quicker using the search function than flipping through the index. “But what if my device dies” - again, printed manual. Available. Just non-standard. Like going off-road. Not a standard activity for 90% of wrangler buyers.

I love the searchable PDF version and did receive the paper version with my 23. I have it under the drivers seat for kindling in case we get stuck offroad with a group in the snow and some sort of Donner Party situation arises.

I'm having a hard time seeing the value because I'm having a hard time understanding what sort of info from an owners manual one would need quick reference to while out of cell signal range. If I'm going off road I already know how the features of my Jeep work. Are we talking about something more akin to a repair manual? THAT I totally get. But obviously vehicles have pretty much never come with those.

It’s disappointing that a written hard copy of the warranty is not in the pack that was given to us. I printed it out but at 8x11 format, it’s not easy to store with the other books provided.

$60 for a manual. Ahh, that's why there are so many used vehicle manuals for sale on ebay.
