We’re in a post
Well at least the threads about engine covers and Molle seatbacks have finally died down.
I do like having my engine cover and a printed manual, we are in a profit above all else and anti consumer timeline.

It’s baffling the indignation some feel about a fellow Jeep owner wanting a printed manual. The Eurocrats at Stellantis that most likely removed the printed manual to save a penny must laugh their little arses off.

BTW, BMW offers both a printed, and a built in manual in their infotainment.

As others said, this is stupid on Stelantis’s part, especially for an offroad vehicle that might be driven to areas where there is no cell reception.

For the price we pay for these Jeeps, I don’t want a manual or an electronic version… I want a female AI avatar at my beck and call in a bikini to answer questions and do the maintenance/repairs for me.

Wait… even better… my Jeep should be problem free .

Though I agree with your sentiment, I'm sure it's the North American corporate headquarters cutting corners.
European version Wranglers get side mirror turn signals built in that I wish we had.

I love the searchable PDF version and did receive the paper version with my 23. I have it under the drivers seat for kindling in case we get stuck offroad with a group in the snow and some sort of Donner Party situation arises.
So, if a Donner Party situation arises do you use pages from the manual to draw lots on who provides supper that night? :CWL:

Neither did my wife's $90K Lincoln.
All on-line and available through the Lincoln App.

Nothing new here unless it's been 10-20 years since you bought or leased a brand-new car or truck.
Actually it is new. We purchased new a '21 JLUSS and '22 JLUSS and a new Toyota less than a year ago. All came with standard owners manuals. Just saying. 🙂

Woah, who knew a guy griping about Stellantis being cheap would garner 3 pages of comments. I love everyone's passion tho.

Next up I think I'll post about zipper merging or left lane bandits. Those topics are never controversial. 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously tho, I do enjoy reading everyone's differing thoughts.

My 23 Wrangler Rubi 2 Dr 3.6L eTorque came with 396 page owners manual in a pouch full of other related documentations.
This is how my manual came in my Jeep.

I think that's the first time I've seen those. Surprised they haven't become a "must have" mod for US Jeep enthusiasts.

Who has an engine cover and molle seat backs? I don’t have those.
To the search bar, grasshoppah..

Hardcopy owner's manuals are innocuous. If someone prefers to use the e-version, let him remember that he doesn't speak for others in his desire that printed manuals be withdrawn wholesale from the market.
I’m just talking that logically it makes sense they are withdrawn but so long as you have a choice to get your printed version, what’s there to complain about? Ultimately, there aren’t printed manuals because Stellantis wants to save a buck. The fact that they are a “preference” and not a “need” these days justifies their position. Should they cost 60$? No, that’s the Stellantis “F*** Y**”. It doesn’t mean though that every vehicle should come with it printed nowadays.

I agree. That’s why I said I need to relax. It’s not really the manual that gets me upset but the refusal to see logic where logic is present that drives me nuts.

You’ve nailed it. I’d like a printed manual. I should be able to request one from FCA free of charge.

I tried to buy one for the $60.00 but I need a subscription to Tech Link or some other bullshit that prevents me from being able to purchase one. I downloaded copies on both my laptop and phone but it pisses me off I can’t just page through the damn thing like a cave man.
