Looked in my glove box for the first time to peruse my owner's manual, radio manual, warranty manual, etc.

No joy sucker. Here's a 1/8" thick owners "handbook".

If you want an actual detailed printed manual like included with virtually every vehicle ever built, no problem, just send us 60 bucks.

Yes I know they have it in electronic form. Some might prefer that, I do not. Perhaps it's like the spare tire and manufacturers are starting to do away with printed manuals. My wife's new Toyota, however, came with a mini library of Congress of printed books.

Kills me the included "handbook" is printed on gloss paper, in color. Probably cost more than the inch thick proper manual for my '22 that was printed on tissue paper.

Carry on. 🙂

$50k is small potatoes, consider a $85k+ jeep also doesn’t include one.

My 25 sport came with all the books. Thankfully because I can’t access the ones in my apps glove box. Not sure why because my app works just fine except the E-version of the manuals.

No vehicle should come with a printed manual that is 600 pages long.

In fact in 2025, if you need a manual to operate anything in your vehicle, then your vehicle is improperly designed. An iPhone can do a lot more than a car - and they don't come with a manual to operate. The device guides you gives you a scripted "tour" and offers suggestions as you go along.

Besides any printed manual is obsolete before the vehicles is built. Particularly these days, when vehicles are constantly being updated over the air. Printed manuals are more likely to be dangerously out of date.

A searchable electronic copy of the manual should be presented on the vehicles entertainment screen, with a copy on your phone or phone app, with those copies tailored to the exact model and options you have, vs the useless hundreds of pages that don't even apply to your vehicle, like all the Rubicon lockers and disconnected sway bars on a Sahara.

Jeep should be bold and ditch printed manuals once and for all. You can't live in 2025 like it is 1925. What is next? You want a printed phone book?

Well, I’ll be nice and just say I disagree. Starting with a 41 International pickup on the farm at age 6, I’ve been driving for 67 years. I’ve found the printed manuals for my 2022 Ram 3500 and 2021 Wrangler to be an excellent source of information about the vehicles. Very little in the manual is rendered obsolete by software updates as most of the manual addresses hardware features and operating practices. Mostly I use the pdf manual on the iPad, but it is nice having the printed version in the vehicle for a quick reference.

By the way, Apple provides a comprehensive manual for the iPhone. It’s over 200 pages for something to make phone calls and take pictures.

I think it’s important to have basic things like where are the lift points when changing a tire.

The Wrangler is the *only* vehicle where you have to put the jack on the axle tube instead of the body/frame, and doing it any other way won’t work or will destroy the pinch welds. Particularly when you’re stranded with no service.

But why the hell isn’t there an owners manual in the infotainment??

The PDF version of an owner's manual is a searchable document. No more thumbing through pages and pages to find something specific.
