look, my point is, reducing the 392 to “because speed” is a gross oversimplification of the value of the 392.
let me ask the super computer from hitchhikers the value of the wrangler 392

…..waiting…..

so sorry, I was wrong, it is way more complicated, the answer is speed AND sound

Haters gonna hate I guess... I appreciate you sharing the story.

The only decent races I've had in the 392, I shocked a very assertive driver in a Charger SuperBee (I think that's what they call it, guessing it was the same engine). When I pulled up next to him on the freeway he must have picked the wrong gear and I blasted by him under a bridge, which really accentuated the combined exhaust note. Usually I appreciate a thumbs up after something like that but didn't get it that day.

Also caught a Tesla 3 off guard, at the light, aggressive driver. He was in it but I was still pulling away. Ended too quickly after half a block.

The 392 is almost too much of a sleeper, no one really knows what it is.

Don’t forget he only referenced the road. I bought mine for wheeling, torque, bombing in the dunes and dirt roads, etc… The road speed is simply a welcome side effect.

A Jeep with more hp/tq than a vette, gotta love it! I owned a 2016 C7 Z51 with the manual 7-spd and it was not as fun to drive as this 392XR. I drove the 4xe as well and it was so “bleh” compared to the 392 XR.

Jeep hit it out of the park with the 392 XR?
