I'm interested in hearing from owners who have added the MOPAR 2" Lift Kit (Part: 77072522AD) to their 4xe Rubicon.
Has the 1+ inch of added clearance and superior shocks made it worth the $2K investment? Would you recommend it for someone that plans on running 35s?

Is the draw for you the warranty?

There are other options I'd lean toward, especially since you live in Jeep disney land.

Exactly. After the warranty expires (2.5 years based on the trips I make) I can go with another option.

So the kit comes with Fox 2.5 IFPs, which, until recently weren't available direct. About 6 months ago IIRC, JKS (Fox) released the 2.5s, and they MSRP for $1k for the set. They aren't super long, so they aren't crazy flexy.

Realistically, that makes the Mopar kit pretty competitive cost wise. It does have replacement, slightly longer fixed LCAs to regain some caster.

Biggest complaint I've seen on the 4xe Rubi side is lack of actual lift. Could be easily remedied with some small spacers to fine tune. There were some concerns with spring bow, not sure if that's been ironed out.

It's missing some parts the nicer kits, even entry level come with. But similiar to the middle of the road offerings.

Really appreciate the information. Thank you.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the warranty. You can't void the warranty on anything that can't be directly attributed to the lift kit. In other words, they can't be like "We're not covering your defective uConnect screen, because you've got an aftermarket lift."

It might cause a warranty issue with things that go wrong with your suspension or steering, but my personal opinion on that is: If something broke because of my lift, then I don't want to replace that broken part with another stock part anyways, even if it is free!

So my opinion is: If you're going to spend $2k+ on a lift, there are much better things to get than the mopar lift. Personally I spent a few bucks more and got a Metalcloak 3.5" gamechanger kit, which included springs, shocks, control arms, etc. etc, and is a much better value than the mopar kit that's basically just slightly taller springs and some marginally better shocks.

There are, of course, also a lot of other great options out there besides just the metalcloak kit, that's just the one I picked. Heard great things about Teraflex and others as well.

Valid points. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I have a 2022 JLUR 4xe with the 2” mopar lift and 37” BFG MTs. I removed the fender plastic liners and replaced with metal for more clearance as well. Love the setup, no issues, dealer installed, easy pz!

Good to hear that you love it. Is removing the fender plastic liners a requirement with the lift to run 37" off-road?

There would likely be some rubbing if you don't. I don't offroad with this. New England is not very off-road friendly.

I gather you also had to get a new driveshaft?

Correct; and honestly that's something everyone should be doing if you're lifting more than an inch or two. The stock driveshaft design is terrible.

I don't think I'd even want to run the stock driveshaft with a mopar lift. People do it, but I wouldn't want to.

It is shock extended length, not lift height, that triggers the need for an aftermarket driveshaft. Rock Krawler's standard recommendation is front extended length getting over 29", but I'd keep it under 28".

If you look under the Jeep, you'll see a "skid" bar/crossmember that runs right under the slip joint boot on the front driveshaft. That's the first thing that hits.

The aftermarket shafts are thinner, and the T-case side double cardon moves the pivot point futher from the transfer case.

I agree, but I've notice a significant lift on my Willy's. Mine actually lifted just over 3" initially, but I wont be surprised if it sags after a few weeks or after a few hard runs. I did add the adjustable track bar and Fox steering stablizer.
Mopar has a 20% off coupon on their home page and I was able to use it on all aftermarket parts purchased from them. After searching multiple sites, the lift ended up $200 less than any website and the trackbar and stabilizer were the same price with the discount.

Here's a picture of the Mopar 2" with 35's on my Willy's.
