New to the forum and could use your help. I think this could be something that others have dealt with. My car has the CEL and the engine idle’s at 1800 and 3k, depending on if I am driving or not. I have a link to the video of what is happening. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this all the time or only when the gas engine first turns on? The 2.0 Turbo runs in overdrive upon first engagement to warm up. Mine does that for the first 30-ish seconds once it flips to the ICE. Sounds awful, but still does it 2100 miles in, and no other issues and no CEL.

Check engine light means you have a code set. If you don't have a reader, run by any chain part store and they can read it for you.

It does it when it fist turns on but it does go away after 30 seconds. But when I kit it again it will go back to 1800rpm. It also displays the CEL

So I cleared the code and the gas cap was not sealed properly. I think the gas cap sucks on this thing but it looks like it makes a seal. If you don’t have a seal, it seems to hurt the power of the engine. Code has not come back and the power is there from the engine. I know the warning on the gas cap but they should make that a better design. I can see that gas cap easily breaking.

It's usually warming up the engine and cat without drivetrain load when it does this. The electric motor is still providing most power.

I think it helps prevent engine wear.

I’m having the same issue with the same codes. How did you clear the codes? My scanner seems to be having issues clearing them.

It just cleared the code. I bought a very cheap one and it worked. Not sure but it maybe your code reader.
This issue just happened again today. This time with no code. I checked the gas cap and it was not pulling off but I reseated it anyway and the rough idle went away. The seal needs to be nice and tight. For such an important issue, you think they would have a better solution.
