The oil temps from the day you got the vehicle would go to 215 degrees. Wow, I am surprised the engine lasted so long. Sounds like you had a cooling problem from the start. That sucks. If they checked it at that time, maybe they would have fixed the cooling issue and the engine would not have...
I had this happen to me and it was based on a lengthy cold snap with temps below freezing. I don’t garage my jeep. It went away after the temp got past 40 degrees. I have a 30 min commute each way. Never got the oil temp past 186 degrees.
It just cleared the code. I bought a very cheap one and it worked. Not sure but it maybe your code reader.
This issue just happened again today. This time with no code. I checked the gas cap and it was not pulling off but I reseated it anyway and the rough idle went away. The seal needs to be...
Michelle,
Congrats on the new Jeep! They have been raising prices in mid build for America as well. They have been raising prices every month here in the US. I think it's wrong but they are able to get away with it because they are in such high demand.
95 dollars was a bargain and at this rate of inflation a 100,000 dollar Jeep may not be that far off. I am amazed this thread got 100,000 views. We are serious about our Wranglers!
So I cleared the code and the gas cap was not sealed properly. I think the gas cap sucks on this thing but it looks like it makes a seal. If you don’t have a seal, it seems to hurt the power of the engine. Code has not come back and the power is there from the engine. I know the warning on the...
New to the forum and could use your help. I think this could be something that others have dealt with. My car has the CEL and the engine idle’s at 1800 and 3k, depending on if I am driving or not. I have a link to the video of what is happening. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
"Production of Jeep's flagship Wrangler SUV, which is built at Toledo North Assembly Plant, will continue."
They make big profits on the wrangler. They will idle everything else before they touch the wrangler.
Your dealer is giving you wrong info. They are cranking out Jeep's as fast as they can make them. A couple of weeks ago they closed the plant for the week. People need to take vacation. I dislike how much salespeople get things wrong.
I do think it’s what they have on hand to build with just in time parts. It’s been rumored that they have certain Jeep’s built with a body and an engine and when the right order comes along they send it right in. They may have the parts right there to get the sport s done. Maybe it jumps ahead?

it's not really a production issues. They are cranking out Wranglers as fast as they can. I order my 4xe on 6/5 and should get it next week. The demand is high and they are charging over MSRP. Demand will hopefully subside hopefully after the new year into 2022 but you never know when the market...
