I don't even drive in snow but I'd say 2H.

can you show me where it says max 50mph in the manual, because all my other 8 jeeps says it's safe to engage 4hi at any legal highway speed.
i'm just curious if the JL is any different.

I used 2H...it was fine.

Own 2 Wranglers before. Live in Chicago. We had a lot of snow a few years back. It can take a while for our side streets get plowed. I used 2H 95% of the time. The only time I even had to use 4-anything was when I was buried after the plows throw snow and bury the cars. The weight of the Wrangler and AT tires was more then enough.

Yeah, thank god! Lol. Sorry it was a dumb question. All my other vehicles have had AWD, so I wasn't sure what people typically do.

4h so all 4 wheels slip equally! seriously though, 2h. The loss of lateral traction (turning) is not helped by all 4 wheels spinning equally. same goes for braking. How the resistance is applied is moot.
