Yes. I'm tracking what the OP posted, but.....how does he know the bulb is "good" and "no power is getting to it" There is no power going to my third brake light until I step on the brake and bulbs may look good unless you run an isolated power source to it.
Again. It's just my take that grounds and bulbs go bad before wire harnesses if nothing has be disturbed. I was just trying to save the OP from ripping out his interior. I'll stop then. ;)

Best of luck to the OP.
That's a good point! I don't know how he checked the brake light bulb? I hope he had someone step on the brake pedal when he checked for power. ? ?

I'm wondering if there is a separate fuse just for the 3rd brake light?

This is the tool I use; I would start from the 3rd brake light and work my way back. Find out where that wire has lost power. Also look to see if you can find the ground for the 3rd brake light.

Pardon my candidness.

Just wondering how did you test the bulb was good?
Also, someone needs to step on the brakes for you to test if there is power going to the third brake light.
The wires had a pinched place in them. I had to cut that section out, so while I had it apart I connected it to a battery and it worked. I had hoped repairing wires was going to fix issues but still don’t have power. That’s when I started tracing wires back to interior. And yes brake pedal was pressed during all this and regular brake lights were shining.

Okay. If your third light is indeed working and if I were in your shoes, I would just splice the third light wires to the main brake lights. (as close to the third light as possible) I would not rip my interior apart. Maybe its just me though.

I was hoping someone on here had a somewhat simple fix before I tried that. But that was what I had planned to do next before tearing the whole interior out.

I think that's a good idea. I would avoid tearing out interior parts if I could also.

Note: I would test the wire for the 3rd brake light as far back as possible. How far is that? I don't know. I haven't traced them out yet and I kind of hope I don't have to. :please:

OP said 'The light is good but has no power going to it."

He said he checked the wire connections at the 3rd brake light with a multi-meter and there is no power.

I'm not familiar with a fault circuit. I would definitely check that, where is it located?
There is a post in electrical with all the wiring diagrams.

I’ve looked at those. Might as well be Chinese I don’t really understand it all but I’d still have to tear interior out to replace any wiring best I can tell…
