This is true. Per Scott Blum (Jeep Product Manager) No more for 392 XR for 2022.
I wouldn't imagine confirmed (D status) orders would be canceled. I would just think that new orders are not being accepted. I saw on a TRX forum it is the same thing. Challenger and charger models have eliminated the 392 option all together. It may just make the 392 XR more rare than that of other trims. Stellantis is really cutting back options on the FCA products. For example, my 2021 challenger hellcat redeye widebody is still being produced but the options I have on mine are no longer available unless you pay for the most premium Jailbreak model, which only has 10 more HP and nothing else different. In my mind, it makes this model year, with only 600 +/- HCREWB's manufactured, more rare and collectable in the long term future. So if you have a 392 XR on order with VIN confirmed, you should be good.Anybody know if existing, VIN‘Ed orders waiting build are affected? (Nov ‘21 order). I’ll either get very luck or be very pissed soon….confirmed order of 392 JLU in Snazzberry.
I have the XR on my High Tide and after driving a Rubicon JLU with a mopar 2" lift and 35s and installing an adjustable track bar and reservoir steering stabilizer, I thought the ride was pretty smooth.....until I got my XR.... this ride is sooooo smooth. No comparison.Probably caused instant death wobble lol!
