Ha ha

I have the steer smarts track bars and Falcon SS, also had the box replaced in my wife's Sahara and my Rubicon goes in next week to have the box replaced. Oh I also put the mopar LCAs which are slightly longer helping the caster?? Anyhow hers steers really nice.

I am surprised with the electric pump they dont allow settings to firm it up. In my Challenger you can set it to track mode and big difference versus street or sport settings.

IMHO you can improve the steering with some good aftermarket parts and a good updated box. Of course a Wrangler with bigger tires is never going to be the same as a performance car, so have to be realistic. I have a WJ and the steering is pretty good and it has the stock parts save a new stabilizer, Rancho as I recall put on it..

They are in sport mode and hammering it LOL
My SRT has avg a tad over 20 mpg and on highway grandma driving style doing 65-70 will pull 27 mpg on long trips.

do these 392's have any modes, to change the steering and trans? on my SRT you can tune the suspension( adaptable Bilsteins), steering (tighten up the feel) and Trans ( shift points and shift speed), have street, sport , track modes.
I asked because I had a ‘15 SRT 392. I got 28 mpg average both ways on a trip from KY to N. Indiana.

Only selectable mode is exhaust.
Shaped like a brick, pushing 33-37” tires with heavy Beadlock wheels.
Can you skip the beadlocks or is that just part of the 392 group?

Mostly around town. Also about 75 miles with the 37s. No speedo calibration.

Gosh these numbers are exactly what a 7,000+ lb. Ram 2500 6.4L crew cab 4x4 sees....

I was hoping that in the smaller, lighter JL package it would do better. Guess not.

Only factory wheel option for 392 are the bead locks.

So your actual MPG is likely better than 12.3.
37” tires have a 12% larger circumference than 33” tires. Your likely underreporting MPG by 12% on the 75 miles driven on your 37s.

Probably so. I am sure I am like many others with the 392, don't really care too much about the MPG. LOL Bought it for the fun factor.

I wouldn’t buy it for mileage but considering a big fat loaded up challenger got 28, I’d of hoped for high teens with stock 33’s on a brick in MDS 4 cyl mode.

And there’s nothing wrong with some range for the back country.

Agreed, Ill get what I’ll get in terms of MPG. MPG is better than my last ride, but my last ride had a 26 gallon tank. What range we can expect out of the small 21.5 gallon tank is of interest, especially on long stretches across West Texas/Southwest/in and around Moab.

seems better than my 3.6 on 35s. I'm only getting 13 mpg. So happy when I get my 392 I will be more environmental friendly.
Man, I'm pulling 17.5-19mpg (w/summer blend) in my 3.6 on 35's in CO

I’m here all day @Digiwolf. As a former engine builder…tell me it’s not outstanding to have 500hp, weigh over 5k with luggage and two passengers…and get 28mpg average at 70mpg on the highway.

The 392 is awesome. In the Challenger, it was impressive.

I'm thinking putting in a standard Rubi T/C to improve mileage by a fair amount. Full time 4 wheel drive has to be eating a few MPG's.

With Jeeps it is better not to think about MPGs. I used to brag about it and be all over it until I upgraded my sport to M/T 33's. Then I stopped looking at the MPGs. I would never drive my Jeep if I did, my other car is a 2020 Camry that's been getting 45mpg highway, this is a gas engine that produces 200 hp so pretty sick imo.

I can't even imagine what going to 35s, 37s would cause to MPGs. And a 392? I would never look at it. Never. Enjoy life, it is short.
