392 real world MPG

I know in my truck I can manually place it in 5th gear to disable MDS. When you manually select a gear it turns off MDS and 6th is unusable anyway unless you're doing 80mph+ so I'm just in the habit of clicking the manual button and leaving it in 5th when I drive. Not sure if the Jeep is the same.

Same as the standard Rubi, but I would say both are equally important for trying to determine your range. But mostly for planning a trip, or overlanding, not so much for just driving around town.
I do wish they would have offered a lager tank though, to offset the drop in mpg’s.

It would be great if the aftermarket suppliers come up with a secondary gas tank.

There's no EV batteries in the 392 so there should be some space underneath for at least another 20 gallons.

There are a few companies that do have a secondary gas tank. I have seen 19-25 extra gallons. Tank goes on the other side.

Interesting, I wonder if any of the current ones would fit on the 392. It’s a bit different underneath the back, mostly because of the exhaust.

I'm sure they will figure it out. You could at least squeeze 10-15 gallons under there in a narrower profile.

I don't care as much about mpg as I do range of a fuel tank. Kind of wish the tank was a bit bigger than 21.5. Even my Grand Cherokee has a 24.7 I believe tank. If the 392 had a bigger tank like that or even better the trx that would be pretty awesome. Theres a ton of things aftermarket can fix but I don't think fuel tank size is one of them lol

13.0 MPG now with 1500 miles of mixed driving on 37s and heavy beadlocks.

That’s about 275-280 miles of total range. Not great for long stretches across West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and into Utah.

Having my 15 year old cousin weld me a hitch mounted double rotapax carrier. He loves welding and is wicked talented.

That's not too bad. I think you could do better with 4.10 gearing.
