Two inch minimum lift and rims with sufficient backspace (to prevent rubbing on front lower control arms), or stock rims with two-inch wheel spacers PROPERLY installed. This would be for 35x12.50 tires.

For 35x11.50 tires, just the two-inch lift.

Thinking on Mopar lift kit … any opinions on it

I have no opinion on the Mopar lifts, as I’ve never installed one. There is a mixed bag of opinions on this site though, many not favorable. My opinion, when lifting a Jeep, is to go with a quality lift that correctly adjusts the geometry to maintain stock handling - or better - characteristics. I have installed three lifts on our Jeeps, all JKS brand. In my opinion they are excellent!

It’s a good OEM quality lift and it comes with longer lower control arms to get your caster back to stock spec. It’s a good value for the money and would be perfect for what you would be looking for. I would stay away from 37s with Dana 30/35 set up and stock 3.45 gearing. You can get the 315/70/17 good year territory MT from discount tire right now for $186 per tire. I’ve ran them on my last two Rubicons and they are a great tire. I just bought a 3rd set for my 24 4xe Willys I ordered.

You can also look for a take off 392 shock and spring set up. Comes with fox shocks and usually guys include the end links in the kit for under $500. That’s what I would personally go with and it will net you close to 3 inches of lift front and back.

This is what that lift looks like on a 23 and 24 Rubicon. It will give you a little more than 3 inches on a Willys

I had this done on my ‘21 Willy’s last year.

metalcloak 2.5 inch lift
Method MR703
Falken Wildpeak 35x12.5R17
4.56 regear
Cavfab tire carrier
Tazer Mini

I didn’t want to go with a spacer style lift kit, am pretty happy with what I got. Hope it helps in determining sizing!

My '21 JLURD has the Mopar 2" lift with the remote Bilstein shocks, Teraflex split spoke wheels and Toyo Open Country RT Trail 35x12.5 tires. It has been great in town, highway, light trails and medium to somewhat difficult trails. We've done trails in Sedona, Ouray, and Moab with no tire rubbing. I'm very satisfied. My mileage dropped about 1-2 miles per gallon with the new tires - which to me is no big deal.

Before considering 35s, you need to brainstorm whether or not you are willing to spend the $2G for a regear to at least 4.56. If yes, then go all out as a Jeep that turns the big rubbers as easily as it did the stockers is nothing short of priceless.

I have JKS 3"LIFT on my 2 Dr wrangler rubicon, I compared it to what you get with the Mopar Lift and JKS is a much better deal
