This thread is for mods you’ve done to your JL EcoDiesel.

I am debating Xpel my self or Ceramic coating. I dont think i need to go that hard core with a cerakote bottom.Thoroughly looking forward to frequenting this thread over the next several months. My rig is in line for the next boat to AK from Tacoma, likely to sail this coming week...amusingly, its first mods before hitting pavement will be completely invisible: xpel full wrap and cerakote underneath...then the stuff worth posting pictures of on here will begin.
If you’re planning on keeping it for a while and have the means, there is no debate...ppf is the only way to protect such an investment, whether it’s going to be a road queen or a trail monster. You only get factory fresh paint once and ceramic will not prevent damage from road debris, the million pebbles kicked onto your hinges/fenders from the front tires, trail branches, careless passengers, dogs, other car doors in parking lots etc.I am debating Xpel my self or Ceramic coating. I dont think i need to go that hard core with a cerakote bottom.
Good luck with that. Considering their 2.0L intake has been kicking off codes since the day it was released I am a bit doubtful if they can get one to work on the 3.0L which is even more sensitive to changes.Had the jeep over at S&B today for development of an intake for our eco-diesels.
there is already a correction for the 2.0 that they send for free, it was a hose. My buddy has a 2.0 and they took care of it ASAP. S&B is one of the best, which is why they took the time to get CARB legal.Good luck with that. Considering their 2.0L intake has been kicking off codes since the day it was released I am a bit doubtful if they can get one to work on the 3.0L which is even more sensitive to changes.
Anyone with a 3.0 order live near rugged ridge to get the same process started adapting their cowl-based snorkel to the driver’s side of the 3.0?
I did a ceramic coating my my Mercedes C450 AMG...it looks awesome and last about 84 months...I will be getting the Jeep done as soon as I get it.I am debating Xpel my self or Ceramic coating. I dont think i need to go that hard core with a cerakote bottom.
