My dealer tells me my jeep is in D1 and is being built, "I don't know why it's taking so long, probably missing a chip". I don't have a build sheet yet and Jeep chat tells me I'm "in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process". I thought D1 was scheduling, but my dealer tells me it's being built. Does any of that make sense? And if it is being built shouldn't I have a build sheet? Or is that as unreliable as every other part of this process? Order date 2/26, stripped down sport in sting gray. ALso should a sport with no options other than Anti lock spin diff. be faster?

I currently have the same status as you do. I went straight to the threads after I ordered my Rubi, granted, I went in knowing that I would not expect my order to arrive anytime soon just based off of everyone’s wait times. But, now I’m not too sure? Every order and situation just seems to be different. My dealer did say that he couldn’t give me an estimated time, but that it could take months.

Ordered a fully loaded 2022 Rubicon 4xe on 4/7
Specs: Firecracker red, SOT, Black Satin Grille, Dark saddle seats, Saftey-Advanced etc.
4/10 I asked my dealer if there was a VIN to which he provided right away.
Today, 4/15 I went to Jeep Chat to see what the status was for my Rubi and got the response of “it’s in scheduling process” which I’m assuming is D? Don’t know.

i think D is where my Rubi will be staying for awhile, but hopefully not! When I went into my dealership to order, my cars man showed me his brand new Rubicon 4xe and said the customer gave up on his order and that’s why he has it now. RIP

The dealership I went to order also has two 2022 Rubicon’s (4xe) headed their way. One was already in “Transit” while the other was in the process of still being “built” just the other day I looked at the fully loaded Rubicon 4xe and seen that the status changed to “in Transit”

Not sure how long it’s been sitting in “being built though” maybe it’s a good sign?

They have to get the orders in for the parts they need for your build. That’s where you are now. Then they gather parts. These steps are ’D’. Once everything is gathered you are slotted to be built ‘D1’. This can be a few weeks to many months.

My 11/16 was at MSRP and so is the one that’s in transit to this other dealer in WV.

Today marks exactly 5 months (22 weeks) from order), still in D.

Same here... then promptly told by dealer that this is progress.

Manuals, unfortunately, have become very rare. As of 2am today:

4D Automatic	83.8%​
2D Automatic	12.0%​
4D Manual	2.6%​
2D Manual	1.5%​

I suspect that these numbers more reflect Jeep packages, rather than customer preference. I would love a JLUR XR in a manual, but Jeep won't do it. So, I live in the 2.6%.

I tapped out. 11.30.21 22 Rubicon order with no progress past D. Guesstimate is June / July from dealer. Not right.
Reading posts from others on delivery purgatory was a deciding factor.

2021 392 should be at my driveway by Thursday. I had to change a couple of mods purchased as a result but worth it. Looking forward to planning trips and not being forever frustrated.
