So the 2026 Wranglers have this new addition to the frame of the Jeep (see pic). I inquired with LOD Offroad about their Signature Series Rock Sliders and sent them a video of it and they stated that their bolt on sliders will not work, as this new addition to the frame would interfere with them. They did mention that they would pass this information on to their engineering department to see if they could be re-engineered, but that it wasn't looking promising. And if they were to be able to re-engineer them, it would be a while anyway.

Anyone out there with a 2026 and have after market rock sliders and if so, which ones did you go with?

Your post made me run out to the garage and look under my month-old 2026 Rubicon X 4 door. It doesn't have those things, but I saw on another thread on this forum that some do, some don't. I'm just relaying what I saw there.

Interesting! I wonder why some do and some don't. I didn't realize it until I saw this video on Youtube and then I called and inquired about the LOD rock sliders -

Guess I'll keep searching...

I would unbolt them and throw them in the scrap pile, my 2024 had the crash brackets (only on the pass side) and it was the 1st thing I took off when I got the jeep home
Well, I'm not sure what they are for, sooo, I'll likely hold off on scraping them...for now. :CWL:

They are put on to prevent certain other vehicles from going under the frame in a wreck. No structural need for them other than that.

The part's literally called a tire deflector in the Mopar literature. It's not for other vehicles, it's for your own front tires if you crash into something hard enough that the axle comes that far back.

I guess all previous Jeeps should be issued a do not drive order since they don't have them. Didn't mean to upset anyone, just passing on what others have said. I misspoke when I said vehicles, I should have tire and wheel from going under the vehicle. Guilty as charged.
