Good luck with whatever way you go with your new sliders. I was into the White Knuckle step/sliders. Nice design, especially that kickout before the rear tire. Good idea to save a tire or two. They are a nice design. But while I was looking, I couldn't steer away from the Rock Hard 4x4 RHX's. All thick wall construction, fully welded, multiple mounting points, large step, and a lifetime warranty (not on the finish though).

Big fan of Rock Hard patriot sliders. Mine are angle down to help kids get in too!

How hard have you hit the steps themselves? Curious how they hold up.
They are very strong at least on the 2-door which is what I have. I’ve landed in them and pivoted on them many times through the Rubicon and other trails without hurting them. Ideally, you would remove the step section for harder trails, but I’ve always left mine on.

I use the RSE Stepsliders with the optional additional skid plates on my 392. I've done the Rubicon twice with this set up, and they survived a lot of abuse. The right side has the powder coat pretty much completely scraped off from front to back from pivoting around rocks. But the Step slider is still straight and true and the step still works normally. On both Rubicon trips I managed to hit the step into a rock when it was in the down position, which trips a sensor, or something, and the step just goes limp. It won't raise or lower. This is a designed in feature of the system, designed to protect it from damage. There is a switch under the hood that you turn off and back on again to reboot the system, and then it works normally again. Last year this happened when my son got out to spot for me while the Jeep was still moving a little bit. This year I had been out checking an obstacle, and got back in and drove as soon as I shut the door. I had forgot that there is a 2 second delay after shutting the door before the step retracts, so I hit a rock with the step deployed. Even with these two "user error" mistakes, the steps survived the Rubicon intact and completely functional.

I am impressed with the RSE Stepsliders enough that I just bought and installed another set for my wife's lifted Gladiator Mojave.
