I am glad I got my manual Rubicon back in December. I will continue to drive my manual even with the recall. It is a 4-door and I am almost always the only one in the vehicle. I would worry alot more if I had a 2-door and had carseats in the back for kids...

@MadGerbil I'm in the exact same boat. I ordered 12/30....D1 on 1/27 and now this. The Jeep tracker shows no manuals moving to production since 2/16. I contacted my dealer and they were happy to place an order for the same build with an automatic for $4,000 more! The kicker is the 3.6 is only sold with the ETorque system when ordering the automatic. Now I'm really torn....do I hold out to see what the MT fix is, or cancel the order and pay an extra $4k for a setup that I really don't want....and start the waiting game all over?

If it weren't for the risk of exploding transmissions and fire Hazzard, I could justify saving the $4k for a Centerforce clutch when the stock one inevitably fails.....but I'm not sure it's a chance I'm willing to take.

So...my dealer offered to place the order for an automatic without canceling the original MT! Now I get to see what happens with the recall, and hold a place in line with a plan B!

That is an interesting option.

Honestly, I think Jeep should throw in a free upgrade to automatic for everyone with a manual on order.

I'm going to wait until the end of the month/first week of April and decide to either wait or cancel. For me about half the joy of the Jeep is the manual and if I cannot get that I may go Bronco or an appliance until Jeep gets the MTs figured out.

I'll hit 90 days in D on Thursday. Would you pass me a new crying towel, especially since orders for the '24s are starting up?
It seems like the 2.72:1 SELEC-TRAC FULL TIME 4WD SYS may be the hold up. No action on them in the tracker for a bit. Everything else seems to move (well, except for the MTs, that is) through the tracker pretty regularly.

Ugh! This is an option I debated a lot. I ultimately chose it because it seemed great for the mixed road conditions we can experience here about 9 months of the year.
I know knowing wouldn't help anything, but being in the dark sucks.

This is what I see in the tracker:

I think I may be holding up the line. ;-)

Completely seriously, will they finish all MY23 before beginning MY24?
I seem to recall last year there were some MY22s that Jeep converted to MY23s...

After 3 weeks in production, I graduated to waiting for shipping today. Funny thing is, at this point I wish it would slow down until '24 pricing comes out.

But I'm not paying a $10k difference, and I'm already $5k towards that

Kinda bummed. I really thought I’d be picking up this weekend after an 8 month wait for my order. It got to the rail yard a short drive from the dealer on the 11th, but it isn’t there yet. Since I’d be paying by a wire transfer, best I can do is paperwork and inspection / test drive if it does make it this weekend, but I wouldn’t be able to pay and drive it home since wires aren’t processed on the weekends. My estimated date that was shown when i built has come and gone - but that’s par for the course for me at this point

Placed my order on February 8 and it arrived at my dealer today March 17. For a Canadian order that seemed crazy. 2 door Rubicon, Granite, 2.0, cloth seats, polished aluminum wheels, gorilla glass, safety group, 4:1 rock-trac hd full time 4wd, led, cold weather grp, body color highline flare, black freedom top, headliner. Kinda bummed because they hoped to get pics coming off the carrier, but it didn't happen..ah well.

Definitely a bit jealous! Placed my order a week after you, and I wouldn't even be past the break in period if I drove mine home from Toledo. But, alas, I'm still stuck at "Scheduled" on the pizza tracker. Maybe it will get fast tracked and I'll have it next week! ?

Yours does look sweet.! Enjoy!

Thanks! Yeah hopefully yours shows up in the next little while. I guess mine was pretty simple and didn't have any options to hold things up.

I'm getting a two-door soft top Rubicon (automatic) with:
Perforated Leather Seat Covers
Off-Road Grille Camera
LED Lighting Group
Cold Weather Group
4:1 Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4WD

The build order/process is quite mysterious to me. But, I'm pretty sure the wait will be worth it!
