Just sent my dealer an email asking if they could reach out to jeep to find out what the fuck was going on. Had I known I wasn't going to get my jeep before 2023, I would have waited for the color I actually wanted (Which is orange, so seeing that punk'n came back and I still don't have my jeep is making this wait so much fucking harder)

I'm seriously ready to walk away from all of this. I think I'll talk to my husband tonight about putting in an order for punk'n at a different dealer. (Who knows if dealer allocation has anything to do with this. I ordered from a high volume dealer so it shouldn't be the issue, but I don't know what to think anymore.)

The downside of reordering is, I believe, some of our options have increased in price (at least, the base rubicon price has gone up) -- so it's essentially something you should think about as an added cost to get it in orange to eat the extra cost.

I just wish they could give a timeframe. The frustration for me is not knowing -- will it be january when I might be travelling? Will it be May? will it be july (I'd cancel if I found I was missing half the summer again). May would be fine, assuming the same price as when I ordered and assuming I don't get the weird cloth-pocket seats that some other rubicon orders seem to be getting with cloth seats now -- but I'd want to at least know to be able to plan better.

Yeah, I thought about ordering orange without the safety groups to keep the cost around the same BUT I really like the safety groups. I'll probably just get my jeep wrapped.

I agree, not knowing is a huge frustration.

I'm probably going to be super annoyed if they changed up the seats and didn't disclose that. My 2020 has the cool seats with the mesh pockets and I really like the look and if I get cloth its just going to be another disappointment.

I emailed my dealer who says they're going to reach out to their rep. They advised me to contact jeep as well. So I'm currently chatting with someone who says they're giving it to a specialist who will respond in a day or so. I guess I'm going to get that generic email soon from jeep! Yay me.

I attempted to cancel and reorder my original 11/4 order for a '23 JLUR in Punk'n with a manual and soft top b/c I'm an idiot an forgot it wouldn't be ready to accept a hard top without installing brackets for the freedom panels and a conversion kit (rear wiper/defroster). I have dual top on my '18 JLUR and assumed all new Wranglers came ready for either a soft or hard top. Anyways, the manual transmission is now restricted for unknown reasons and who knows if Punk'n will still be available when the manual is available to order again. Base price would have been the same but some options/configurations are up in the air if you can get an order in and confirmed.

No new rants since Friday morning? No venting? No grousing???

There's a disturbing stench of satisfaction up in here. :)

Too defeated to rant anymore.

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse every time I post something about my jeep.

Same shit, different day. No updates. How exciting.

This jeep better be fucking worth it, is all I'm saying.

Definitely defeat, lol.

Oddly enough my dealer replies when I ask about order status, but doesn’t reply at all when I asked about the stealth change to the cloth seats. I figured it got caught up in spam filters, so tried on our back-and-forth update thread - nothing. It’s a joke at this point. I'm just using a regular gmail account and am checking my spam filters, no idea. I assume it's just deliverability issues - like it's getting blocked before it gets to gmail

Since many of us have ordered, prices have gone up. Are you all expecting to be charged the price when you ordered, or the increased one? I didn't expect the price to change, so I never thought to clarify it with the dealer, but I'm expecting the original price

My dealer price protects. Not all dealers do. You need to reach out to your dealer to confirm.
