Ok, did a quick search. It turns out they CAN deny financing, but this is typically done when the vehicle's price has been negotiated/discounted significantly below MSRP.That's pretty much what my dealer explained to me and he was very transparent about it which was cool. They have a list of loan providers they "partner" with and that's basically how they get paid. The loan provider basically "tips" them for the dealer getting them another sucker *ahem* I mean customer. He said it would be like you buying from a warehouse where it's sold at production cost vs buying from the store where they mark it up and sell for a profit. So you bring your own pre-approved financing that isn't on their list, they don't make that portion of profit so most will refuse to sell to you because they don't make anything off you and it wastes their time?![]()
