I've never heard of a dealer having a list before. I don't think legally they can prevent you from using any bank you want to finance your vehicle.Yeah, I was hoping to use my credit union this time around, but they aren't on my dealers "list". So I'm preparing "worst case" scenario financing options looking at the rates of some of the banks they've used.
Requirements :You don’t need to be a vet to be a member of Navy Federal
My Rubicon build sheet from the tracker shows it..Anyone that’s ordered the leather seats option see it populated on their build sheets? It doesn’t ow on mine but it’s n my POC and the dealer said I’m good to go. The code for “I” shows “Black” but not 100% sure that counts as my black leather seat option.
Same for me. *AL Leather trimmed bucket seats on my POC but not on the build trackers. I think I remember a discussion that the asterisk in the sales code was causing some issues. Maybe @NDRugby can confirm or correct if I misunderstood?Anyone that’s ordered the leather seats option see it populated on their build sheets? Huh. The dealership shouldn't care who transfers the cash, just that the transfer clears. That doesn't sound right.Yeah, I was hoping to use my credit union this time around, but they aren't on my dealers "list". I'm reading "dealer's list" as "we don't want your bank's money, we want our bank's money" with a kickback for scoring them the loan.Huh. The dealership shouldn't care who transfers the cash, just that the transfer clears. That doesn't sound right.
Yup! On the dealer's end it says 'estimated ship date' but thats actually the production date.Dang, so they cam see production dates as soon as the status moves to “scheduled”?
That's pretty much what my dealer explained to me and he was very transparent about it which was cool. They have a list of loan providers they "partner" with and that's basically how they get paid. The loan provider basically "tips" them for the dealer getting them another sucker *ahem* I mean customer. He said it would be like you buying from a warehouse where it's sold at production cost vs buying from the store where they mark it up and sell for a profit. So you bring your own pre-approved financing that isn't on their list, they don't make that portion of profit so most will refuse to sell to you because they don't make anything off you and it wastes their time?I'm reading "dealer's list" as "we don't want your bank's money, we want our bank's money" with a kickback for scoring them the loan.
DM’d you.My Rubicon build sheet from the tracker shows it..

Black is just the interior color option, iirc (versus tan). I wouldn't be concerned if it was a High Altitude or 392 that both come with leather standard, but as a missing option I'd be worried and would ask the dealer to look into it (and if missing, see if they can correct it before it's too late).
If you wanna post the URL of your preview image from the official Jeep tracker, I can see if I can figure out the order code and if that option is present.
??? If you've put a deposit down on the vehicle, I assume they listed a few lenders you were likely to use when they took your deposit. Even if you used a completely different lender, you have the deposit. They have to sell it to you 1st. And where you get that $$ from isn't their business. This really sounds like complete BS. I'd contact corporate. That's pretty much what my dealer explained to me and he was very transparent about it which was cool. Yeah, I can definitely understand them wanting to earn some money (and some of that should be passed along to the customer as a discount), but if someone wants to use their own credit union, they should at least find a bank on their list that can offer comparable rates. Otherwise, I guess it's just best to go along with their bank and then refinance as soon as possible (depending on the minimum amount of payment allowed/agreed upon). That's pretty much what my dealer explained to me and he was very transparent about it which was cool. Yeah, I hit the dealer immediately after it was confirmed and said there was no issue with the order because that’s what my POC had on it and that’s how the order was placed. My Rubicon build sheet from the tracker shows it..

Facts, luckily I talked to them about that before I put my deposit down and they don’t care where it comes from as long as the check clears? but a couple of the other dealerships I talked to before them said they would only sell to me under those lenders and I knew my rate would be high from them so I bounced???
