That's pretty much what my dealer explained to me and he was very transparent about it which was cool. They have a list of loan providers they "partner" with and that's basically how they get paid. The loan provider basically "tips" them for the dealer getting them another sucker *ahem* I mean customer. He said it would be like you buying from a warehouse where it's sold at production cost vs buying from the store where they mark it up and sell for a profit. So you bring your own pre-approved financing that isn't on their list, they don't make that portion of profit so most will refuse to sell to you because they don't make anything off you and it wastes their time?‍♂
Ok, did a quick search. It turns out they CAN deny financing, but this is typically done when the vehicle's price has been negotiated/discounted significantly below MSRP.

Yeah, I can definitely understand them wanting to earn some money (and some of that should be passed along to the customer as a discount), but if someone wants to use their own credit union, they should at least find a bank on their list that can offer comparable rates. Otherwise, I guess it's just best to go along with their bank and then refinance as soon as possible (depending on the minimum amount of payment allowed/agreed upon).
When I bought my current car (first time buying from a dealership) they didn’t tell me they were only accepting from certain loan providers and I got stuck with a 16% rate? I refinanced through my credit union as fast as I could because that was crap

Same for me. *AL Leather trimmed bucket seats on my POC but not on the build trackers. I think I remember a discussion that the asterisk in the sales code was causing some issues. Maybe @NDRugby can confirm or correct if I misunderstood?
I emailed the dealer again. I have the same…*AL.

DM’d you.
Didn't really need the whole thing, just meant the preview image's address from the Jeep.com tracker, but what you sent has the same order codes.

Was thinking you were talking about the actual build sheet PDF, which you won't get until it's in production, and @Jean Genie is correct that the guys running the 3rd-party trackers couldn't decipher the code for the leather seats from the URL (on the Jeep.com configurator it changes the address from D5 for standard to AL for leather).

Since yours is showing the leather parking brake handle and shift knob, I'm 99% certain that means you have one of the leather packages.

Might be the Hydro Blue color. When I put my order in early August dealer said glad you did not pick Hydro Blue as it will take longer.
I don’t think Hydro blue is holding anything up. Mine was ordered July 18th, Hydro JLUR 4xe, most options and it’s already built, 20th, just waiting on shipping…

Panic. No, everything is fine. Panic. No, really, everything is fine.
This is pretty much me on repeat since I placed my order!

I would walk in with my manhood out telling them what they can do with it. That is ridiculous. Pay cash with pennies.

I'm reading "dealer's list" as "we don't want your bank's money, we want our bank's money" with a kickback for scoring them the loan.
Pretty much this. I'm sort of playing the "scratch my back/scratch you back" game since I have a trade-in to offload as well. None of this is in stone yet other than they ordered a vehicle for me for $5. They've taken no deposit from me and there's nothing in writing to say they'll absolutely sell that order to me or take my trade-in for X dollars. Conversely, there's nothing that will prevent me from going to another dealer either. I'll chalk it up to built up trust that I suppose will be tested whenever my order ever makes it to assembly much less on a truck/train to my dealer.

Worst comes to worst, I'll just re-finance via my credit union later...assuming their rates haven't skyrocketed ?
