I'm in MA, too...ordered 2-door Sport S July 21...been sitting at "D" seemingly forever...cool that you are getting your so soon!

Update mine is built and sitting in a holding lot. Dealer said it will go on a train to NY and then trucked from NY to MA.

Not 100% sure if it's dealer holdbacks, bonus pricing or other incentives from Jeep, but I guarantee you that no dealership is gonna lose any money or sell a vehicle without some form of profit.

FCA affiliate pricing should get you 1% below invoice pricing (FWP/wholesale on the build sheet), but not all dealerships will honor this (though a lot do). Joining the Tread Lightly program at the $100 membership level will get you 2 FCA affiliate control numbers for the year. Some dealers that are sponsors here or listed in @Ratbert 's list usually offer around 5% under invoice (sometimes with an extra 1% for affiliate and/or 1% if financing through them), which usually works out to around 10% off MSRP for this year.

You can try finding a local dealer that will honor the 1% FCA pricing and then try to haggle toward 5%, but I had no luck at all trying that in my region.

This is my exact question why would a dealer pay say $40,000 for a car and then give you the car for 6% less that doesn’t make sense? I obviously don’t understand what’s what. Thanks for your patience!!

No, myself and wife. I‘m the guy that wants every color, so far I’ve had Hydro, Sting Gray HA, Hydro HA(canceled, these are nearly impossible to actually have built), black, Silver Zenith(built 3 weeks after order), White HA on order(sitting in C), Reign on order(scheduled for this upcoming week)
Actually ordered 2 more last year (High Velocity& Tuscadero)that were canceled because I had too many on order at the same time.

This takes fickle to a new level lol

contact your cc company and ask For a recall of that payment. It’s illegal in most states for them to keep the deposit if you cancel let alone if it’s their screw up.

If thats is 100% as straight forward as you say.
Id be down at the dealership demanding the deposit back, or ready to fight whoever denies it. You NEVER fuck with a man and his money, on some bullshit.

Well, my JLUR is set to be shipped 9/13 as well and it’s still in queue. I was just coming here to gripe about it, but maybe I’m on deck. Lol I was scheduled 8/18, you were scheduled 8/16. Maybe they’re just moving down the line. Wishful thinking?

As I had stated previously, I would be making up my own status updates since I otherwise have none to report. It's the chuckles that keep me from bitching.

I’ve never worked at a dealership, but from what I understand, there are “vouchers” that dealers get when they reorder stock, meaning they get it at a discount. So no, invoice is not truly what dealerships pay when all factors are included. Someone that’s more knowledgeable may shed some insight or correct me if I’m wrong.
