Jeep tracker updated for me this morning.
Order confirmed: 7/9, scheduled 8/1, In production 8/31, and this morning is showing "vehicle built" 9/6!! Also Est delivery was 10/25 last week, I am assuming that's a generated date and now that it's built they have to schedule logistics so it changed to TBD! Can't wait for the next update.

Hi all! Just joined the waiting list this past weekend after my Jeep Patriot kicked the bucket a few weeks ago. Thank you all for this community, it's amazing how much information there is on here and wouldn't have made an informed decision without this forum. (I used the search feature like a good forum user)

Some of you guys are completely losing your shit.

Here’s what I know, some based on salesman input and some based the videos of Jeeps being built.

They run the Jeeps in batches based on color. Otherwise they would have to change the paint after every vehicle and that means cleaning the guns as well.

They run the Jeeps in batches based on 2 door versus 4 door. 4 door being the most popular option, the 2 doors are run less frequently.

They may run the Jeeps based on model. This would eliminate an error in supply of model specific components. This would also include models with the XR package. Having a Sahara with one XR tire/wheel wouldn’t work and stopping the line for a supply issue won’t work either.

That brings me to the final one. They run the Jeeps based on material/parts supply. If they are missing a component to finish a Jeep, then that Jeep won’t get scheduled to run until they have it.

That’s the best I have as far as scheduling logic with Jeep production. Yes, mine is built and my specs are in my signature. Sting-Gray is a popular color so that probably played to my benefit.

Do you have any links to videos which show this? I'm actually a bit surprised because, to be honest, every JL production video I've seen is almost exactly the opposite of everything you just said. So I'm a bit confused.

They don’t build them in batches according to the stickied Wrangler order and delivery process guide:

They do not build them in batches, a 4 door white color can be in the line behind it a 2 door Hellayella then a 4 door Sky One Touch and so on.

I was thinking the same thing. Every video I've seen from jeep doesn't show them being built in colored batches. Below a screen shot of a jeep production video showing the step right after paint. Black, followed by white, followed by red.

Yeah, if there are batches, I don't think they are based on color. Maybe based on available parts/components though. The infamous assembly line video even shows two-doors and four-doors lined up one after the other at one point in the process.

i just talked to my dealer, I was thinking about switching to a Diesel since my 3.6 build is already pushed to October, and he said they’re being told they can’t submit any more Diesel orders for 2023 across the board. Anyone else hear that?

Koons just told me Estimated Ship Date is 9/30. Pizza tracker just shows Scheduled 8/23 and "TBD" for estimated delivery.
